Any recommended games from Arcade? I'm thinking about buying some inexpensive but very entertaining games.

Is there no way to pin these threads?

Totally fed up with the lack of pick up and play games on the 360. I have so many games that need so many hours put into them that I would prefer to save them for days when I have several hours spare.

The only game I actually enjoy when I have a free half hour or so is Trials HD, there is zero else out there like it, unless someone can suggest something else?

Katamari, assuming you don't already have it somehwere else.

I'm sure there must be loads on XBLA as well, what sort of thing are you after?

Scour the XBLA marketplace, there is a ton of stuff there to suit your needs :)

    Peggle
    Geometry Wars 2
    Chime
    Pac-Man: Championship Edition

    etc. etc. etc.

Punting this back alive from February to ask for some more recommendations (sorry if that's disallowed, mods...but I didn't want to make a duplicate thread when one already exists?) :)

I'm getting an XBox 360 next Thursday to celebrate my first month at work...but eh...this is my first television-based console since the Philips CD-i and as of such I haven't been keeping up with non-portable gaming news for quite some time ;o;, so I have absolutely zero idea of what to buy. I've done several Google searches and I hear good things about Left 4 Dead, Bioshock, Halo, Mass Effect, and Arkham Asylum (and of course War for Cybertron is a definite). Are there any other brilliant FPS/shooter/RPG I need to add to my list?

    Thanks guys. :3 /clueless

Get one or the other of the L4D's, probably 2 as the community is likely still more active.

Halo: Reach is pretty effin' rad.

Yep. Definitely Mass Effect. Start off with 1, then play two for the ultimate video game experience. Delicious Garrus.

L4D is another great one. I had a lot more fun with 1 though.

Halo: Reach for sure. Delicious Jorge.

Dragon Age as well. Delicious Alistair.
