I had this sas a series concept. I kind of tdrew some concepts from the latest DC DTV's.

Disappointed with the High Council's latest attempts to capture the the rogue known as Starscream and his brigade of strategists, (former) Elite Guard members Megatron and Longarm decide to put matters into their own servos. However, the High Council is irritated with their attempts to capture Starscream. Megatron gets pissed off at them and kills them as well as Prime of that era: Sentinel Prime who along with pupil Orion Pax were present. He frames Orion who later takes on the mantle of Prime and later his team for killing off Longarm who later is resurrected as Shockwave. The group are considered fugitives. They enlist the help of Team Jetshot to claim their innocence while Megatron enlists not only help from his group but other Elite Guard memebers including Orion's brother Dion who later upgrades himself to Ultra Magnus.
Of course, these stories are told in flashback format like LOST and several episodes of Animated.
The real story would be on Earth where the real adventure begins.

Is there any information on the next TF show?

I know that Animated is finished but I was wondering if there was any information or anything about what type of show might be going next.

 

other than it will more than likely be onthe cable channel hasbro is supposedly developing with discovery channel there is nothing and likely won't be for some time yet as the movie stuff is still hot and they likely have warehouses full they will want to move before they starts a new line and with the TF3 moved up a year there maybe no new series until after it comes out and is played out

 

You know the next BIG series won't occur til Fall 2012 due to the Bayverse hogging all the spotlight til that time.

This is what I think is Habro's agenda...
Now til Spring 2010 will be RoTF and even more RoTF

Spring 2010-Spring 2011- Classics/Universe returns

Summer 2011- Spring 2012- TF3

Spring 2012- Next BIG series and toyline

 

seems logical to me and id be all for that

 

I don't think we'll be seeing any new TF series until Transformers 3 is out of the way... so, expect that the next couple of years it will be nothing but Movie-verse and then in 2012 new TF stuff.

 

By then, many would leave the franchise due to the lack of variety.

Nice job, Hasbro.

I personally think they could've done at least a couple of more seasons of Animated the same way they did the first three seasons.
All through out this year could've been production of seasons 4 and 5. With it airing throught out 2010, they could work on a final sixth season and then gave that continuity a good run. Although,they might have done a change of channels.

But Hasbro couldn't really forsee the demise of that series, could it now?

I'll give it til 2011 befor I throw in my towel.

 

I want a Classics styled CG series...

Idea for the Next Series

For the next Transformers series, I think that it should be a prequel. It should show how the war began, how Orion Pax became Optimus Prime and the rise of the Decepticons. Obviously it might not be that kid oriented but it would be cool. The only thing is that I don't know what it would be called. Tell me what you think.

About G1 prequel - it may possible only if Hasbro will decide to redone G1 first.

 

Given that the next movie has already been confirmed for 2011, I want one more season of Animated.
The designs are there and ready for everything from characters, voice actors and toy packaging, including I'm sure characters which have never been seen (given that the characters were developed in conjunction with the toy designs). One more season for 2010, because guaranteed whatever the next series is, it gets pulled to make room for more Bay-verse movie toys come 2011.

 

According to various forum sites, Beast Wars is the only TF series that have reached the levels of DCAU or even Greg Weisman or Greg Johnson.

I hope the level of writing is up there. Marty Isenberg was good, but I want a writer of better quality.

 

That was before the merge.  

Which is why I think it'd be better to just set up another new continuity, actually.

But if we do end up only getting one season out of the next show before TF3 comes along, I say just give Animated one more season and be done with it. Then, hopefully with TF3 Bay will have had enough and take leave of the franchise for three or four years at least, enough time for a new series to have a better chance to gain its legs.

 

I want them to do what they did in Animated. Take the G1 characters and be totally and completely creative with it. I wanted to gouge my eyes out during RID, Beast machines and Unicron Trilogy.

 

All I want is for it to be an extension to a previous line. I get tired of starting a brand new universe every few years.

I don't care if its Machine Wars Returns or even a season four of Animated but with every character redesigned to look more movie like (think ROTF Lockdown).

 

A different idea could be that Megatron already exsists and is feared throughout the universe. Some powerful alien device (maybe the AllSpark) comes down and activates Earth's technology and they transform. Megatron arrives and all of the activated robots hear his story and some join him and some declined. He tricks them and tears apart the planet. The ones that decline take pity on the humans who run and hide. They are angry that Megatron decieved the other robots so they wage war. I'll fanfic it.

 

I'm bringing this thread back since the BIG announcements tommorrow. So let the speculation begin again.

 

I hope the "Hunt for Decepticons" is not the new series. Let it will appear as the advertising strategy, toy line or something like that, but not as the series. Let the series will be something in classic style.
