So much for the vaulted Arkansas. Is there really any contention that LSU isn't the best team in the country, I think not.

Agreed. Even if we lose to Alabama, we deserve a share of the national title.

would LSU fans accept being just AP champs though cuz that's the only way to share a title if LSU lose in the BCS title game. I know LSU fans say they are the one and only champs in 2003...not recognizing USC as the co-champs that year even though USC was named AP champs.

Way to go USC thumping UCLA 50-0. I hope Barkley will be back next year so a non-SEC team can be the national champions.

USC will be a top 5 team and title contender for sure if Barkley returns. But its a big IF on the return though...as in I don't see it happening. I have not heard anything about USC next QB which really concerns me.

Well, we didn't know much about Matt Leinart either:rock .

It's nice to see the Trojans finally playing to their potential. This team is going to kick some ass next year. :2c:

So Arkansas gets smoked by LSU and they only drop from #3 to #6? I realize that the voters love the SEC,but come on.Not that it really matters....I'm just sayin'.

They went to the toughest stadium to play in, against the number one ranked team in the nation. That's why they dropped to sixth.

I'd love to see that. If USC played LSU, I'd say the Trojans would come out on top because they actually have an offense capable of scoring points:bowdown:

    1. They couldn't match LSU's offensive line, which means LSU could run the ball at will.
    2. They have scored points on PAC-12 teams. An LSU or Alabama defense would shut their offense down.

Yeah...and they got smoked bad. They should have dropped further than sixth. They have two losses now,and there are a bunch of teams behind them that only have one loss...or none.I realize that it really doesn't matter because all that does matter is who is #1 and #2,but how about putting some other teams up there that actually deserve to be up there.

Arkansas lost to the two best teams in the nation. Not many teams behind them have loses like that. Most lost to bad teams.

So if LSU loses the SEC title game, then Alabama would be #1?

I hope that happens, because then that would cement for me that head-to-head match-ups during the regular season are completely meaningless in college football. A damned playoff is needed.
