That Notre Dame game was classic. Two teams I could care less who wins, but I do enjoy watching the Irish fans suffer since they are an independent and constantly overrate their team.

The Huskers looked like garbage last night, hopefully they kick it up a notch.

BTW, anyone else think that Texas is headed for a long season? A one point win over BYU is not exactly impressive...

seems like this thread has been on life support...

so how's your team doing thus far?

well as far as i am concerned, November 5th will be the National Championship Game. Yep, LSU vs Alabama.
i am pretty certain after that game, the rest of the season will be pointless.

Oklahoma lacks a schedule worth a nickel compared to the SEC, and the same goes for any other team below the 4th spot.

and the experts on ESPN and other outlets can bicker over the nitpicks. Alabama or LSU, depending on the winner, is my go to for champion this year.

considering the multiple suspensions at the beginning of the year, and the 3 more this weekend, Miles has kept his team together, and cohesive. He should be a Coach of the Year nomination at the very least.

any other coach would wave the flag, ride out the year and try for a better season next time around.

I'm thinking my Boise St. theory is more and more correct. LSU beats Alabama, then loses to Arkansas. I think Oklahoma St. will lose to Oklahoma. Then Boise comes in. Lots of ifs, but they all seem possible, if not likely.

Illinois is pissing me off. They could have had a chance at a national championship. Not anymore. 2 losses in a row in games they should have won.

Maybe a BCS bowl game, but not a national championship.

Well, my Trojans really did an outstanding job against the Irish last night. It's just unfortunate they can't go anywhere this year:2c: .

To be honest, I'm just kind of burned out with the NCAA. I'm tired of all the, "Oklahoma just beat down this crappy team by 80 points, they are most certainly the number 1 team in the country".

I'll follow the Trojans but let me know when we get a playoff.

To be honest with you, I'm an ou fan and I don't think we deserved that #1 spot in the first place. (Especially since LSU did much better winning on the road and all)

Yeah but I just used OU as an example. For instance, Texas, Michigan, ND jumped up how many spots by beating bad teams?

With that said, the Red Raiders REALLY surprised me by beating OU yesterday. Where did that come from?

    ^^^

No kidding, I'm sure some apology will be released later this week that says, "whooops... my bad!"

LOL, it's all good. Maybe this will be the start of another decade of USC dominance! Remember the Cal/USC game years ago? USC went on a roll after that

To be fair USC had a blatant hold like 2 plays earlier.

Well, I'm glad they got away with something! In the first quarter, Robert Woods was practically mugged in the endzone and screwed out of a TD:2c:

It wasn't even a questionable call like the Miami/Ohio State call. The Stanford CB crashed into Woods a full 3-5 seconds before the ball even got there lol:lol

I could be wrong, but when they reviewed that last play the referee said that his knee actually hit the ground before he went out of bounds,so the clock would have run out anyway.

Yes but his hand (with the ball) reached over the out of bounds line. Its yet again another example of pac 12 referee "genius", like that ou/oregon game back in 06. (I know it would've been only one play but anything could've happened)

Yeah but that whole situation was a mess. Kiffin was standing next to the referee on the other side and called timeout as soon as Woods went down...

I dunno, it's over and I'm just glad the Trojans didn't roll over and DIE like they did against Arizona State. :2c:

Regardless of the outcome, USC shouldn't of given up that many points. If you score 40+ points in a game, you shouldn't lose:2c:
