Just hooked the PS3 (its my friends that I'm "looking after" while he is in school for the Army) up to my 24" monitor with component cables and optical in for Dolby 5.1.

Wow. A-Mazing.

Here's the funny part. I have serious grounding issues in my apartment when it comes to screens. I get hum bars all the time. But in my room on my monitor, the PS3 works fine, but the PS2 gets bars. But in the living room, the PS2 works fine but he PS3 gets bars. I don't get it.  

 

Well I'm in act two. Doing a lot more sneaking than gun play. I got to the point where you find out that Rosemary from MGS2 is boinking Campbell. Jack (Raiden) is missing but he just called my codec to warn me of a trap reminiscent of the Ninja from MGS1. This game is the sh*t.

 

Played it all night and LOVING it.

 

I need to play the other games so I can figure out WTF's going on   Pretty awesome game.

 

Trust me, the other games are just as confusing as far as storylines go. Trying to understand it all will make your head explode.  

I've played all the Solid's and I still don't get it.

I'm lovin this game, makes me wish I had played the old ones. I watched the gametraliers retrospective and the volume 2 thing that came with the preorder to get myself at least partly knowladgeable with the plot line and series history. I found out about playing dead earlier tonight and man has that been useful. Very beautiful game, makes me happy I picked a PS3 and decided to check out its exclusive games. As for the 360 only users, I hope it does come out for it because they are really missing out on a great game.

The stage where the soldiers take Naomi into the woods and you have to track her down with her foot-prints and the bent grass is the most annoying stage EVER.

 

I dunno, I didn't have too much trouble with it, I only took the wrong path once. Act 3's following a rebel agent was pretty annoying though. But I also appreciated it's forcing me to actually play it espionage-y, and woo boy that was a long string of cut-scenes at the end of that act. And I LOVED it! Did that corpse have a right eye?!

 

Cool. I also read similar sentiments on some MGS forums so I went out and snagged it last night along with the LE strategy guide. Now I just need the damned game to show up at my house which according to tracking info wont be until Monday   Well at least that gives me the weekend to work on MGS3, since it looks like I may be able to finish MGS2 tonight.

Wait a sec. When did you get that triple? And why haven't you added me to your friends list!?

 

3 is the longest of them... it took me around 25 hours to finish it if i recall.

i also tested my headset with my macbook, i played music through it and used it to record me speaking, in both cases it sounded pretty clear.
