This thread is for people who are looking to buy Transformers through the secondary market, aka eBay. Although the market tends to flucuate extremely fast ($10 TM2 Blackarachnia... week later... $40), I think this post will be great to get a general idea on a decent price range.

What would be decent price to pay for the Reissue Predaking from a few years back? How much was it originally?

If a mod decides to post any reply in this thread it is then deemed official.

I'm thinking it was $125-ish originally. Expect to pay $200+ now.

Iirc, Predaking was more around the $150 mark. $200 is a good price and he can be had for that now.

Megabolt still runs around retail. I've seen them for around $10-$15.

There's actually one BIN on eBay for like $12.00, which really is a steal. They were around that price when they first came out.

actually there folks like me out there that refuse to go into ebay unless its absolutely neccesary, all my second hand toys come from the boards , i spend enough mney as it is n stuff... plus ebay is full of scalpers and all that jazz, markups and what not, sometimes its better to just ask a fellow fan and stuff

I honestly think that there's very few transformer scalpers right now. since so many people actually DO use ebay, I'd say it's still a good idea to check what toys are going for, so that you don't charge too much more or less than what it costs at that particular venue.

As a seller, eBay is great. As a buyer, I don't use ebay as a gauge meter. For one main reason:

Let's say there's an auction for something you want . That same item may sell for $20 on boards but on ebay, there's these 2 other people fighting for it up to $50. All of a sudden, these two guys just set the price to $50 for the ebay market. So all future auctions/buyers will expect the same item to be in the $50 price range. Some buyers (not all) will be afraid to lose the auction if they don't match that $50 price range. Which futher solidifies the price range. Which is over inflated.

Of course, this is a simplified explanation of what I have in mind but I'm sure you catch my drift.

In real life, I don't use auction houses to set the proper price range expectation so I don't use eBay for the same reason.

    just my $0.02

Seems decent but as Apeface mentioned, Stepper can be found cheaper and you might want to hold off on Megs because he's going to be reissued AGAIN in Asia...but the problem is, I don't know how much (quantity) will be released.

Blackarachnia and Tigatron are very rare in the rest of the world so they might be fairly expensive. Scorponok is hard to find with his missiles and bee. Inferno would be cheap as hell.
