I eagerly ran out to get my copy during lunch, but ended up leaving it at work!!!

Just got through Poseidon. As awesome as I thought the other games opened up, this one blows them away.

 

Forget what I said about the side mission - seems like its part of the overall story so far! LOL! Managed to get a "head light" - pun intended! X)

 

Tru dat. That part was epic. God this game kicks ass. Trying to decide if I want to play some more of this or finish off Mega Man 10.

Hercules. Definitely the most satisfying boss fight for me so far. I think it is one of the fights where one can potentially "harvest" red orbs as the enemy soldiers that appear to aid him appear to respawn non stop. Impale him twice and the soldiers stop respawning though. The reward for beating him is those big gloves. Don't forget to "dive" under the water to get Herc's armor when he is finally defeated!

 

how about the quality of the box. heard that the pandora's box is not quite good, made from cheap plastic.

 

Man just my luck, bought the limited edition and I redeem the OST on their site, but guess what? the site is down, and when I redeem it again, it said I could only redeem it once!!

Well at least the game is ****king awesome!!!

 

Well looks like Amazon won't ship my game until the 22nd so I have a while to wait still.

Anyone have a 7 speaker surround sound system setup? I just bought one and I am not sure how to setup the four back speakers. All my prior systems only had 2.

 

I Reeeaaaally didn't expect it to be made out of metal or stone. It's exactly the material I expected it to be made out of and looks pretty cool on my shelf.

This had one of the most spectacularly satisfying endings I've ever seen in videogames. Period. It wrapped up the characters nicely, for the most part with the exception for Athena's shade. I think the ending provides a perfect parallel to the beginning of the game when you see Kratos' face as he's bashing in Poseidon's brains with an almost gleeful look of vengeanic joy. It's frightening, but it makes the ending all the more satisfying as you stare into the face of the true evil. My Biggest problem was probably the convenience that the Gods had gotten the "Evil" part of Pandora's Box. I never really got this conclusion as it seemed all along that the gods were totally justified in their actions. Eh. To each his own

And I did end up getting all of the DLC from the Ultimate Edition, including the two sountracks. Pretty noice so far.

 

Just got to Hades. Haven't started fighting him yet. I am going to end up getting the Limited Edition Strategy Guide, though. Mainly since it's hardback, but I also like to have a trophy guide going through the game.

 

I got to Hades as well. Kratos going to Hades is to the GOW series what "OMG they killed Kenny" is to South Park!

The battle with Poseidon was EPIC. I felt pretty bad for him when Kratos finished him off. Brutal!

Without disclosing too much, the battle with Hades was great. I actually liked it much more than Poseidon.

Its a hard plastic but yeah its plastic. If you are expecting metal or something else... your out of luck.

 

indeed. I'm not in the least bit disappointed in the quality of the box, more the fact that only the game and book are tangible. I really don't like this Download the soundtrack crap. I still have CDs in my car, and if i want digital, I just rip them. But straws... I love the package anyway.

 

I love how your screen gets covered in blood as you beat the crap out of [REDACTED]. And body defomities as you're carving dudes up.
