Looking forward to at least Kickback and Air Raid, here.

Informal poll time! I know opinions on Bruticus as a whole are mixed - which of the Combaticons, as a standalone figure, is the best of them?

 

I'm going have to say Blast Off.

 

Swindle is the best stand alone. Blast Off has horrible useless shoulders. I like Brawl but that's because I repainted one into my custom character.

From the next wave I am eagerly awaiting Sideswipe (for the same reason I like Brawl) and Magnus.

 

Love the brawl mold even with the lack of heels. Thought he had more character in the Wfc games though

 

Can't wait for all of wave 3. Hopefully bbts or tfsource gets them in this week.

As for the Combaticons, Swindle, Brawl and Vortex are the best of the group, Onslaught has a great head, but honestly sucks and as Ryoku mentioned, Blast Off's shoulders suck so very much.

 

God, I love G2 Brawl, Blast Off, Vortex, and Swindle's colors, but Onslaught's Chuck E. Cheese colors bug me.

 

Air Raid's just a recolour of Shockwave!.....+ a diff head

 

I think a rock-solid case can be made for Onslaught as the strongest figure.

Blast Off is striking and a solid number two, but his shoulders lead to a large amount of popping off during routine play (on two version of the figure).

Swindle is overly tall, his unpainted face looks terrible, and he's unreasonably difficult to coax into alt or leg mode.

Vortex isn't even a candidate, his rotor placement in robot mode is a sin and his colors are abominable on all but the G2 version. SDCC version may be accurate but that doesn't make it less ugly.

Onslaught has troublesome shoulders and can't hold his weapon on his back, but he's very solidly built thanks to his torso mode, his head sculpt is fantastic and crammed with detail, his robot mode actually looks better from behind than Swindle which is a miracle, and his waist articulation opens up some nice poses. Plus, his Generations colors are just incredibly pleasing to the eye.

 

Precisely! I like the Shockwave mold, and the different head/weapon sold me on the redeco.

 

Same. I was hoping they'd make an actual game model version of Air Raid, but I guess not. If they were going to make a game model Air Raid, they wouldn't have given Fireflight his name.

 

Wave 3 has shipped! Soon I shall own Starscream and others I've been wanting.

 

I am so excited for Starscream. From the pictures I've seen he looks to easily be the star of the line. I'm really hoping he lives up to what I've seen.

I think he only character from wave 3 I have no interest in is Fireflight or Air Raid or whatever he's being called now. I'm even interested in Magnus, if only just for that kickass swordgun thing.

 

Well, I just started on Bruticus. Got Swindle, and I need to find the rest!

Also, I touched up Swindle a little bit. Anyone want to see it whenever I can post pics?

I've seen all but Brawl.

Funny because Brawl doesn't seem to be the best...
