Did a search and found nothing about the UEFA, and with the number of European and Latin American guys on this board, why dont we open a thread for Champions League discussion.

Manchester United looks to be unbeatable, after a 2-1 victory over Arsenal. I can't wait for the next game vs. Barca.

Oh, and Ronaldinho to AC Milan? I didn't think it was fair to have 2 Brazilian powerhouses on the same Serie A team.

Barca seems shaky at the time being, Man.Utd will give them a hard time.

Oh yeah, another round of Liverpool vs Chelsea, I fell like throwing up after watching them play against each other for many times, urgh, the tension !!

Barca isnt going to win. Ronaldinho is pretty much gone, Henry was on the market, and Messi is still nursing an injury. I dont understand how a team with that much talent on paper can be such a disaster this late in the tourney... and still be up near the top of La Liga and the CL. The good thing about the state of their current squad is that they might actually play Giovanni Dos Santos, who is the new great Mexican hope.

Liverpool vs Chelsea sounds kickass. I'm almost more interested in what's going on in the Premier League. 1-4 those teams are probably the best in the world. There's no one in Serie A or the Bundesliga (except Bayern Munich) who can really compete with the English teams.

ought to just have an all-encompassing soccer/football thread to cover any discussions instead of a thread for each league.

Man U looks pretty much unstoppable in both CL and EPL.

i know we're still the red-headed stepchild, but anyone following MLS? our US homegrown teams are starting to look good, though they got knocked out of the CONCACAF Champions Cup...

Even tho i'm not really into soccer but it's nice to finally see a soccer thread. btw Man U FTW!!!!!!

(I hope when the next world cup premieres, we'll still be discussing abt it. United States is one of the teams dat i've supported b'coz they always regarded as the underdogs. & the have always surprised the sports critics with their playing skills)

Just out of curiosity, what's the importance of the Santander/former Toyota Cup to european soccer fans?
It's the most wanted championship here in Brazil, to the point that the Libertadores Cup means NOTHING if you don't get the Toyota Cup as well.

My take - if Man Utd can overcome Barcelona the cup is as good as theirs.

I'm from Asia but to me the World Club Cup or the former Toyota Cup IMO is the most important club title but I guess its overshadowed by the Champions' League which is "longer" in duration.

If it's Liv vs Man.Utd I am avoiding the feud like a plague. Most of the Man.Utd fans here are bunch of cocky twats, but Liverpool fans are no where different.

Oh imma a red army fan, I used to be a devil but nooo my brother brainwashed me :p .

own goal in 95 min...oh well its far from over,

    0-0= Chealse win
    1-1 = penaltys
Everything tied over 1-1 = liverpool wins
    1-0 = Chelsea.

Wouldent be surprised if the return ends 0-0

I still can't believe tha most US teams can't defeat the costarican teams, too bad they didn't made it to the finals.

Speaking of libertadores, my team, America, with the worst campaign of it's history, managed to get to the next round, I'm sure they will end up making a ridicule spectacle in their next match.
