Are you braving the stores? Are the deals worth it? What are you getting? Any and all blah blahs about the craziest shopping day of the year (aside from maybe Xmas eve) can go here. I will post the ad scans as I find them. Enjoy and be safe! Target- Target Black Friday Ad Best Buy- Best Buy Black Friday Ad Walmart- Walmart Black Friday Ad Kmart- Kmart Black Friday Ad Sams Club- Sam's Club Black Friday Ad Toys R Us- Toys R Us Black Friday Ad And if there are any you think are worthwhile and missing from the list, lmk and I will update this post.
I'm actually eyeing up a couple. Walmart mainly for either - 4GB 360 slim with Gears 3, headset, gold sub and $50 gift card (online only) or - 4GB 360 slim with kinect and $50 gift card. Both are $200, and either way the gift card is going towards a 250gb harddrive. Just not sure how easy the online one will be or if walmart.com will be like HTS when exclusives go up. Other one I'm considering is Best Buy for their $200 250GB slim 360 with gold sub, Halo Reach and Fable 3. Then try and grab Gears 3 for $29.99 while I'm at it. First Black Friday, hopeful but not expecting to even see any remnants of the stuff I'm after. I think the wife is after a TV from best buy, so we'll end up there at some point I'm sure. Even if Walmart is a bust all is not lost.
I got up early once to venture out on Black Friday, and will probably never do it again. The combination of bumper to bumper traffic, and standing in line forever, doesn't seem worth it to me.The only way I would go was if it was for a big item like a TV or something. Now I just usually stop at Target and Walmart after I'm done working because the crowds are pretty much thinned out by then.I usually get some cheap movies and some toys for the kids(and myself).
I'll probably stop off at Target and maybe Best Buy at some point in the morning, but I'm definitely not heading out at midnight or even early in the morning. Looking at the ads, there's nothing specific that interests me, but I am in the market for a new laptop and might pick one up if I happen to run across one I like at a good price. Other than that, just rifling through the cheap DVDs/Blu-Rays to see if there's anything I want for sale.
I don't do Black Fridays. After working retail for so many years in the past, I stay the hell away from any store on BF
Those are some good TV deals this year... 42'' for under $200? Man! That's the same price I paid for a 24'' inch TV a couple months ago for my room that's now in the ad for under $100 I think I might try to brave it this year. I'm going to see about getting a cheap Desktop (under $300 for 6 GB Ram and a TB hard drive) and a Blu-ray player for $40. I hope I survive the traffic Here's a great site with links to a whole bunch of stores and the deals they'll have: Black Friday Ads - The Official Black Friday 2011 Website for Black Friday Deals!
I don't like going out on Black Friday and I stay at home. I can't stand the crowds, traffic and trying to find a parking space. I'm glad my Christmas shopping is already finish. Anyway, I've heard lastnight that Walmart is starting Black Friday a day earlier this year at 6pm on Thanksgiving night. I guess the traditional Thanksgiving Day is slowly fading away.
I'll fight ya for it I thought the Target 299 deal was good.... I guess the question is.. I already have a 37" 720p TV and it serves its purpose. Do i need this TV? EDIT: ALRIGHT... I'm going to buy Uncharted 3 and Madden (Probably from Amazon if they price match BB) MAYBE.... the TV and a pair of Ray Ban Aviators for my niece. She loves mine and just started driving so I'm sure she will love them.
I used to work retail, so I've been through some Black Fridays. I think it's absolutely disgusting that stores are now opening on Thanksgiving night. That gives employees too little time to spend with their families.
