Haha I don't think the NHL players should have a right to play overseas either, with teams that don't have any association to the actual NHL team
Anyone remember during the baseball strike way back, and multiple players did cameos on Married with Children doing odd jobs? With this new situation, what current show could NHL players do something similar?
Pick a reality show, any one. Personally i would find it funny if some of them ended up doing spots on BET
Yeah I started the new NHL thread for the past couple of years and I did'nt start the 12'-13' Thread since the lockout started on Sept.16th.
Think we can start the lottery as to when an actual NHL game is played again? 300 Quatloos on a pre-season game in early-mid Sept 2013. Anyone else with a more optimistic or pessimistic view?
I believe if the 2012-2013 season is canceled, it will be years for the league to recover for the teams in the USA.
It will be interesting to see if this goes anywhere. The Isles have treated LaFontaine like crap for years. I still hold out hope that he can be pried away from his great work with the Long Island Royals to join the Sabres in some big capacity.

Frankly, they'd be crazy if they don't seriously consider moving one of the low-revenue teams back to Quebec City. I mean, there's some decent arguments against Hamilton getting an NHL team, but Quebec City seems like a pretty ripe market.
Bruins Chara headed for Prague...WTF? http://www.boston.com/sports/video/globe10/?bctid=1875676893001&pconnect_name=516508
If enough of the "great", "good" and "average" players leave for overseas, is that enough to shut down the season as well?
Most (probably all, but I don't know with 100% certainty) have exit clauses in their contracts with the other leagues, just in case the lockout ends.
