hahah, the Oilers aren't everyone's cup of tea. I hope the league realises that the fans have a lot 'Invested" in this sport as well :)

Well, there was how many work stoppages before Bettman took control, and how many since? Hrmmmm...

I don't know the "ins and outs" of all the labor disputes, I know what I hear on the mainstream... but dear god, does Bettman ever look like a little douche.

I was really hoping to get into Hockey this year. Living in St. Louis it's kind of a law to at least have a passing interest.

There's always a ton of minor leagues you can follow instead. The play is often just as enjoyable to watch, it's a hell of a lot cheaper to go to games, and you don't have to put up with this players/owners/league bullshit nearly as often.

Some say it is not really Bettman's fault. He is just following orders from the owners.

I agree with that. Bettman is just the face of the Owners. I'm sure not all of them want a lockout, but they all have to appear as a united front and go with what the majority decides.

    i don't understand the NHL.
they were on the brink of collapse a few years ago, and they still ignore the dangers.

Hockey should be a major sport (right up there with Baseball, Football, Basketball) but it seems the league hamstrings itself every few years to avoid real success.

i may not be a huge hockey fan, but i have an appreciation for the game. there are things i see in it that coaches in the NBA could learn and make Basketball better.

just wish the league would fix this lockout and soon

More rich people arguing over how much money they are not receiving. Who gives a flying crap? Strike and make nothing. I didn't want to buy you another supercar anyway.

No, no, no. We're looking for reasons that the lockout is bad.
