Ok, big thanks to SI.com because being the big nerd that I am, I was going to look up all the big name Junior/senior QB's for next years draft.

    However, the big names are....

Ryan Mallett, Arkansas- Great QB, its to bad Rich Rod screwed him over at Michigan with that spread offense.

Jack Locker, Washington- Kinda like Tim Tebow but not as strong because i've seen the Trojans beat this poor kid up for 3 years... bad

    and...

Andrew Luck, Stanford- I don't know much about stanford other than they came out of nowhere and began beating up on my Trojans.

I don't really see a QB the 49ers could take in the first so i'm hoping Alex Smith works out.

However... why don't the 49ers take a chance on Mike Vick? Can you imagine Vick with Gore, Crabtree, VD and Ted Ginn? Who would you cover? Instantly they become the fastest offense in the NFL

Depends on how well Kolb does on the field. But I'm sure we will still see Vick on the field in the Wildcat formation.

I was initially pissed when we traded Lendale for basically nothing, but this soothed the sting a little. Blount probably saw that he has a better chance seeing the field with the Titans than the 9ers.

Less so about them wanting to trade him and more about no one else WANTING him. They shopped him around a couple months ago and NO ONE bit. There was a little bit about him possibly going to Carolina, but that got squished quick.

As far as this season is concerned, Vick's running the Wildcat in Philly and that's about it.

I'm excited for the Carroll years and they had a great draft/trades, but it is tempered by their lackluster options at QB. I was surprised that they didn't get a bit more than a 7th rounder for Wallace and Whitehurst is very inexperienced, particularly with Hasselbeck's fragility. Obviously none of those are answers for the position in the future, but they could be competitive, at least, if Hasselbeck stays healthy.

Anyhow, just read the article about Dez Bryant's pre-draft interview with the Dolhpins. Apparently their GM asked him if his mother was a prostitute. Seriously?

No so. If Kolb plays like crap, there will be alot of people wanting Vick in the game. Trust me, I been to a few games this last year.

Interesting. I had similar thoughts as the Chief's d-coordinator. Javvy should be able to step into that nickelback role immediately, which is damn near a starting role with all the teams running 3/4 wide. He is a tad on the short side but he has good ups and a very solid, strong, and quick body. He is also a smart player so field iq shouldn't be an issue. I think he is shifty and strong enough to not get killed as a return man and may be able to break a few big returns.

I'm quite biased as javvy is absolutely adored by the Bama fan base - much like Cody- and being a 2-star player out of high school he worked his ass off in Tuscaloosa. It's just nice to have college players to pull for success in the pros again :lol .

He is far from a guaranteed success, but I think the chances are at least in his favor due to his athletic ability and work ethic.

Good to see Niners signing their best D player Patrick Willis to a 5 year deal. I hope he'll be able to win a title for SF before the deal ends.

ESPN recently mentioned that one of Parcell's biggest regrets was not making LT a better man on top of a better player.
