I'm glad the Panthers are in the playoff picture. But how long they can stay there remains to be seen.

The rumors are the Panthers want to trade Vokoun.

 

The Habs beat the Hurricanes tonight with a 5-1 scores   What make it special (because beating the Hurricanes isn't, though we often struggle against them), is that the Habs never won a game as visitor on december 23th since 1945!

 

Niemi has yet another shutout versus the Red Wings last nite.

Damn, it's nice beating the Red Wings twice in one week.

 

Two shutouts in a row against the Wings is even better.

Awesome weekend for the Hawks. A sweep of back-to-back games versus the Predators results in an 8 point lead in the division. Kane, meanwhile, has scored the winning goals in the last three games.

 

Man the Ducks are not going well this year ,but we are an late season team,we get better as the season goes on.

The Blues fired Coach Andy Murray. Davis Payne will be the interim coach.

 

Hawks win again! It's unbelievable how they've been dominating many of the opponents.

The most hilarious part has been the coach's (Quinville) answer when the media asked him if his team has any weaknesses they need to improve on. He couldn't come up with a quick answer, stumbled over some words, then just "We just need to improve on things".

And now there is talking that the Hawks would try to get Ilya Kovalchuk as a rent-a-player if he doesn't sign an extension with the Thrashers. Yikes.

 

Zoinks! Hadn't heard that yet but that would be ugly.....

A) it's ESPN, horrible NHL coverage and their last trade news was Marleau going to Anaheim..
B) Kovie costs too much for the Hawks in any capacity
C) ATL is gunning for the playoffs this year so they're not gone send him away as a rental

Why does it seem all trade rumors involve the Blackhawks? They just traded off Cam Barker, one of my favorite players.
Rumor around the rink is that Versteeg and Burrish may be on the chopping block also.
