Alright boys and girls, its a new season and all new drama waiting to happen.

As usual, my Lakers suck in the preseason but hopefully they're able to get Gasol, Bynum and Kobe all on the same page when the season starts.

Post away about your favorite team(s)!

Finally! someone has begun this thread!

No need to be trippin on pre-season...preseason is all about getting in shape and nothing more. No one is over exerting themselves and sacrificing for a big play. Kobe aint even trying really, nor is Gasol...Bynum I think is, he feels he has a lot of hype to live up to and he should and BETTER!

Bring Lamar off the bench and start Ariza, or trade him mid season if he slacks...Marion might be available I hear, as well as Vince Carter (although his salary might bring more woe than necessary).

Sasha needs to heal that fractured ankle.

Why do we keep Luke Walton...sorry I'm a Luke Hater

Damn the Hornets are gonna be trouble

Damn the Rockets are gonna be trouble

Damn the Jazz are gonna be trouble

Damn the Blazers are gonna be trouble

Damn the Celtics are still...the Celtics

Damn the 76ers are worth watching again

Damn I can't believe the 08-09 season is here already!

    LAKERS ALL THE WAY BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would LOVE to see the Lakers have Marion play the 3 as it should be played. Riley and D Wade have a serious Bromance with Odom from a few years ago, before the Shaq trade. They should send Lamar and one of our rookies over for Marion.

Not to mention with Beasley as the obvious future focal point in 3 position in Miami, I don' see Marion wanting to stay very much. He wants to play for a contender...not a team in rebuilding stages.

Plus I would love to hear the league cringe at that trade. I say lets give em Odom and Walton...did I mention I'm a Luke Walton hater?

    Celtics baby!

I'm actually going to the game tomorrow night (technically tonight at this time of night) to the Nets/Celtics preseason game at the Meadowlands. :D

We need a Lakers/Celtics rematch in the Finals. This time, your big 3 will actually get to face our big 3 of Bynum, Gasol and Kobe :D

Hopefully the Sixers can challenge the Celtics in the east. I'm thinking of getting a ten game plan with the Sixers.

It's a trade that makes sense for both teams. I'd love to see that trade going through.

You may be doing it without Ben Gordon too. I know it's way too early to discuss trade talk, but this column on espn made some good points
ESPN - Trade talk already hot and heavy - NBA

Personally I would love to see it, it is a great, intense rivalry. I have nothing but respect for the Lakers', and if Boston/LA make the finals again, I'm sure it will be even more fierce. For me, that makes for a better/more exciting game on both sides.

    It's all about sportsmanship, ;)

One of my best friends is from Boston so we would love to see this finals scenario again. We wanted Dodgers and Red Sox but that idea is out for this season. As much as I hate the Celtics, I have nothing but respect for them. And just like Kobe is hated there, I'm sure, we all hate Paul Pierce. I think if anything, when the C's won last season, I was happy for KG, Ray Ray and Doc.

This holds true for me as well.

    *gestures to my title*

    :stick:

For all that Boston has done to my LA teams over the years I'm entitled to that;)

That trade sucks for the Heat because Odom stinks. It would put the Lakers on top for sure. If anything the Heat should try and get bigman(maybe Rasheed Wallace). With is experience and leadership that would be a good fit.

Just got home from the game tonight. The Celts played well against the Nets tonight in pre-season. :D
