Did you guys see this? It is the text that is taken from the Hasbro website after entering the cyber key code. I took the text from www.bwtf.com from a review that Ben Yee did.

    :puke:

I’m not really sure what Hasbro is trying to do here, but it sucks…hard. Just picture it, a young boy get Downshift for a gift, after opening it he goes to the family computer to ‘unlock’ information about his new favourite figure and…what?? Fembot life bond partner? Joined together under the covenant of Primus??? I know with I was young I took a lot from the bios and if I read this one as a kid it would have turned me off Downshift altogether.

I'm completely failing to see your problem with this. So Downshift has a wife. What about that "turns you off"?

Dude, put it in the trash! Hasbro must learn that this kind of thing doesn't fly!

I'm suprised you don't see a problem with it. This isn't a Barbie transformer is it? It is an action figure!

I refuse to throw Downshift in the garbage when more deserving toys like Thundercracker are allowed to roam free.

Barbie transformer? Because he's "married"? I really don't see why you hate a killer toy because of a piece of fiction.

Just pretend that "info" doesn't exist, and you'll feel better.

I think the problem is that it's not an "Action" type background. Sounds like something out of the "Bridges of Madison County" more then Transformers. I don't treally care about the bio, but I can understand it is a bit sappy for a boy's toy.

Not a nerve, but nitpicking hit a new low then you posted this topic, I had to act in the interests of eating Burritos.

I don't think that transformers should get married and I would bet that half the the fandom would agree. And I am pretty sure that I will not be throwing him out, it's just a dumb bio, I just wanted to discuss, or are we not able to discuss transformer related things anymore?

But nitpicking and burritos are the only thing that tf fans have left. On a side note what fun would it be if we couldn't complain about little insignificant things all day long. Boorrring!!!

This bio may have been the more family-friendly alternative to the the story of how Downshift scanned a pimp's Dodge Challenger while he (the pimp) was off slapping some ho for talking to an undercover cop.

I think that this is an awesome bio, Transformers in G1 has seen that even Optimus/Orion had a love of his life. That there is more to life then just fighting and war to transformers.

Thanks to Fit for Natalie. ;)

That's not his "bio". His bio is this:

What you're complaining about is called "bonus information".
