Waiting three months for it to start is a hell of a lot better than a whole year, eh? We should get an official NHL thread going like we have for baseball. There are def enough fans on this site to have one.

I don't know who is gonna win it this year. I just know the Flyers are a huge question mark. I think they'll make the playoffs but inexperience will result in a second round ejection. Do you people like my signature?

The critics are already doubting the Canucks. We lost our best defenceman and some other key players. I just hope Luongo makes up for the loss. Their first game is tomorrow in Detroit.

I'm stoked. Last season I got "hooked" on fantasy hockey which makes the anticipation even greater.

    GO WINGS!!

i usually keep my sports and TFs separate; but as far as the flyers, it was all too obvious come playoff time last year that they weren't ready for 'the new nhl'. i haven't been following along as far as any personnel changes go (except for primeau being done), but unless they made some major changes, i see another first round bounce. i'll be watching and going down with the ship, though, as usual.

Well, my Leafs are an improved team, but they are definitely rebuilding. It will take some time for the Veterans to adjust to the new acquisitions and the young guys that have come in. Still, Maurice as coach fills me wwith hope, and I couldn;t be happier to see that idiot Quinn out from our bench. Sundin ( Best on our team, and possibly the best all around hockey player in the game) will get more ice time, which he's been pleading for for years now. Watch for his new wing man, sophmore Kyle Wellwood to have break out season.

Still, we'll be in tough to make the playoffs. Goaltending is a big if, as we're hoping that Andrew Raycroft, coming off a dismal year in Boston ayear after winning the rookie of the year award, is back in fine form. Defence is better than it has been in years, though. I'm calling a 6 or 7th place finish in the regular season, within their conference.

Now, the other team I support, Les Habitants, look very, very good. I expect to see them in the top 4.

I'm very happy with how the Devils are looking this season. The lineup is almost completely the same as last year, in which they played very well. If Elias and Gionta can start producing early, they'll be set.

And that's the game! Off to a good start.

And I like the new Jerseys. But the dark is definately better than the white.

Avalanche didn't sell out season tickets for the first time since they came to Colorado. I can't even name the starters this year. And I could care less.

Well, the Bruins just got absolutely destroyed. I'd like to think this trend will not continue, but I'm not overly optimistic yet.
