Personally I think this has the potential to kick Lego Star Wars' ass!

Lego style GTA-esque game? YES PLEASE.

Think Crackdown, just with Batman *dies*

Too bad Activision has the Spider-Man license as I think Spider-Man lends itself to the Lego style more than Batman.

Thankfully Travellers Tales will work for anyone... they're doing the TF game... for Activision, right?

I think the only thing that would/could stop them would be making competing products for different publishers in house. Perhaps for Spider-Man 4?

I think they sell the lego licenses to VG companies as seperate from the main license-like how Lego Star wars wasn't a Lucasarts game.

Also, waiting fro them to make a better bionicle game.

You're all forgetting that there IS no lego spiderman.

Mega Bloks has the Spiderman license, not lego.

I hope there is a mode where you can build a city for Batman to glide and swing through.

Good news, I think. The question is whether it'll be any good. Star Wars, at least, has shown it can do good video games, and has a much broader universe to draw from. But Batman... has there ever been a good Batman game? Hopefully this will be the first.

I'm curious to see how the gameplay will work. The great thing about Lego Star Wars was that you had these characters with diverse abilities, and you needed to use all of them to get through each level. But within the Batman universe, what can you have Batman do that Robin, Batgirl, or the Joker couldn't do as well? You've got a handful of unique powers to work with (Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Clayface, maybe the superstrength of Bane & Killer Croc), but other than that, most characters are just regular, albeit disturbed people. I'll be curious to see how Traveler's Tales handles this.

For better diversity, I'd love to see a Lego Justice League game, but the problem there is that when you have flying characters, jumping puzzles become pointless.

I think it's more like people not realizing Lego lost the license. They had it for Spider-Man 2, releasing several sets under the Lego Studios line.

Batman? Video Games? Lego? Oh my God, I can die a happy man (of course after the release). I cannot wait for this.
