Because a human wrote the story of the transformers it only makes sense that like humans more than one gender would be represented in the series and in the toy line. This new Blackaracnia can apparently hold her own against all the autobots and Arcee`s story ark is the strongest in the so far in the series. What do you think? Will Arcee get a toy past prototyping? Do you think we will see more G1 inspired females? Elita-one, Chromia or BW`s Airazor anyone?

I was thinking the same thing. Strika is a powerful, purple and well written general.

No, femmebots are lame at the best of times. Less is more.

I dont know I liked Blackarachnia and Airrazor, and Strika from BM was pretty good too. Blackarachnia in Animated looks pretty good too, definitely looks better then most Animated characters . Wile most outside of the Beast Era were pretty lame as long as the character is good I dont see why more could not be added.

    LESS IS MORE.

And Arcee and BA are total fanwanks, so I really hope we don't get more, because of the lameness.

yeah i think that arcee and BA are enough women for any series mainly the reason we got girl transformers where to bring girls in to buy the toys but it seems that most women like SS better

I don't think fembots are lame at all. Fanwanks, certainly, but not necessarily lame. Strong female characters help round out a cast of heroes and villains. It worked very well with Arcee in animated, Blackarachnia in Beast Wars, Strika in Beast Machines, etc., so why the hell not?

No sillier than an entire fandom obsessed with shape-shifting robot toys.
Besides, I know some people from Stepford who may not agree with you about gendered robots...

I hate fembots, no offense to you fembot fans. Like other people are saying, they're either fanwanks or simply trying to appeal to females. Which I don't get, since it seems there are girls who like the males a lot more than the females. :p

I don`t think any one should go unrepresented. Most transformers have male voices. If you don`t want "robots to have gender" why not give them all gender neutral voices and body shapes? The real reason fans don`t like the girl-bots is that none of them have truly developed. Think about it what if the decepticons had a female equal to gijoe`s Baroness or Lady Jane?

Playing up the femmebots femininity just raises a lot more questions than there's a need to be answered. The painted-on lipstick and robo-cleavage are a bit much. You could kind of argued for it in BW since they did integrate organics into their systems, but that's beside the point.

There can be, and I'd argue there's room for, smaller, more lithe TFs with female VAs.

They don't necessarily have to be "Girl" TFs per se, but maybe Minicons or non-factioned Cybertronians or whatever.

This exactly. It also gives off a really creepy vibe.

Also, GI Joes are human, and gender plays a big part in human relations, so... it fits. Robots are robots and unless they have robo-wangs and robo-ladybits there is absoloutely zero point to it.

    Seewhutahmsayin'?

Eh...I couldn't really care less either way on whether or not we get more femmebots.

I will agree the only time they were really any good was back in Beast Wars.

Also, I REALLY don't like BA's voice this time around...it just feels wrong. Blackarachnia was, IIRC, based on a japanese girl..so hearing her with a black sounding voice just..I don't like it (and God I know I am gonna end up catching flak for this) as I've just never liked that accent.
