Good news everybody, Futurama is back!

I'm not sure if this has aired yet, but I caught the first two episodes online tonight.

I thought the first episode, Rebirth was very good. The second, In-a-Gadda-Da-Leela, not so much (The space serials were great, and so did the confession at the end, but the rest, meh).

Well, the first two episodes are certainly better than the recent movies have been. I was a bit uneasy about the new season, but it looks like those fears have been allayed.

I don't think I can give a fair review since my "IT'S BACK!!!" high is still so strong. Good stuff all around, I thought.

Also, thanks for starting a new thread - that last one was getting unbearably stupid.

There was an early leak of the first two episodes. Check your favorite local tracker, if you are so inclined.

Caught the first two episodes last night, and I'm really glad that Futurama's back. "Rebirth" was great, but it felt like they were trying to cram a little too much into the episode. "In-a-Gadda-Da-Leela" was good too, and as soon as I saw there was a planet called "Poopiter", any fears I had that the revival would not be as good as the classic were alleviated.

    Good news, everyone!

I was actually in the thread on 4chan when the guy who got the advanced episodes was posting as he was uploading them; it took 'til around 4:30 AM but I've been staying up really late a lot these last couple of weeks so it wasn't a big deal.
I wanted to watch the actual premier but unfortunately being in Canada means no Comedy Central. Ah well, I'm pretty much guaranteed to buy the season set when it comes out as I've done with all the others.

The first two episodes themselves..I actually found them pretty dull. Not exactly bad just...'meh'. I feel like the fact that they have a smaller writing staff really shows in these particular episodes.
However, I still have plenty of hope. Some of the storyboards posted on the Futurama Countdown blog showed some amusing moments in coming episodes. It looks like the season will be getting better as it goes.

Oh, and the Hypnotoad opening was great.

EDIT: I also noticed an animation error. When Bender emerges from the Cyclops Eater, he has both his eyes already placed in his visor. In the very next shot he puts his missing eye back in.

Hahaha, I loved the Robot's voice changing and The Professor's only explanation was "This is something we will never know"

    Both Episodes were great!

"Rebirth" was really dull, with The Professor being the only exception. "In-a-Gadda-Da-Leela" went to crap after the first ten minutes. I'm going to be really disappointed if the writing doesn't pick up soon.

    surfthechannel is your friend.

As for the episodes, Rebirth was win! Episode 2 was all right, but not as exciting as Rebirth. I'm excited Futurama is back! :D

They're not any raunchyer than they were before. Hell the episode Why Must I Be a Crustacean in Love from season two has quite possibly the dirtiest joke on broadcast tv ever, and if you're talking about charactors on Futurama getting nude that's nothing new ether.
