Yeah, I heard this a couple days ago at the newsarama forums. I guess it's not a real Crisis unless there's a new Flash. And, of course, Jay Garrick will outlast them all...
Eh, I think we've known this for months. Not really a surprise.
damn....talk about screwing up my boy (the new flash)...he's gone through a lot of changes
Stupid. I love Bart. But they need to keep him with the friggin Titans.
I'm sure someone said the exact same thing about Wally 20 years ago.
Wally was "Kid Flash" for 30 years. Bart was for 30 minutes.
Don't count your chickens folks. Wait until the actual Flash comic comes out. Nothing's done until it's done.
Too bad in IC 7 Bart Allen lost his powers on his way back and used up the last of the Speed Force. Jay is now the new (and only?) Flash. Also in Teen Titans34 one year later, there were comments from Robin on how Bart "retired".
Still, I'm hoping that Jay somehow finds a way to give the speedsters their power back. I think that Jay will be the the Flash for a few issues, then we will get a "real" Flash.
Personally, I think Bart should've stayed Impulse. Him becoming Kid Flash was kinda pointless.
And I wouldn't trust anything from trading cards. The story on the Onlsaught card and comics is almost completely different, especially toward the end.
Saw the latest issue of The Outsiders. They fight a speedster in black who kicks their asses untill the end of the issue when they finally take him down. Nightwing (who leaves at the begining of the issue to deal with Jason in his own book) shows up and removes his mask to reveal Jay.
Not really sure where they're planning on going with this, but I'm guessing he's the "Hero who becomes a villain" after IC. More than Likely he's being mind controlled though. It's always mind control.
well in Titans its said that Mallah and the Brain are trying to clone, so I'm thinking that young Jay could be a clone (hopefully).. the solicit for next iss of Outsiders even says the two are "testing their deadliest plan yet"
Nah, the "hero who becomes a villain" is Hal, I think. He's seen as a villain by much of the world for his total disregard of that treaty that keeps American heroes out of Russia.
I think Jay might be the hero who loses his memory and fails to tell friend from foe.
Or could it be Rival, back for revenge? (Rival was a classmate of Jay's who also got superspeed. They both competed for the love of Joan, obviously Jay won, and Rival... well, the rest is history. He was in one of the JSA arcs)
That all makes no sense. Jay is his "old" self in the 1 year later JSA. So that can't be him in the Outsiders. (I just refuse to believe that DC would allow any continuity hiccups so close to the heels of IC.
Supergirl get's away with it cause it's 1 year and 1 month after in her series and In Legion, time isn't even a factor.
You didn't actually read the issue did you? One, Nightwing never left the battle, the Jay Clone threw him about a mile away and he had to fight some soldiers. 2. That was 20 year old Jay Garrick they found, clearly a clone.
I was in a hurry, I only had time to flip through it.
