Seems odd that some random fan called the Porche licensing dept. Also, it is surprising that someone in the licensing dept (who does not own Porche or run the company) would spew so much negativity and says specifically "because I do not want that, like a random employee's would have that kind of sway.

In short, this sounds very fishy to me.

Also, the post was from almost 15 years ago, so assuming that was true, times change. The TF franchise is much, much bigger than before and many car companies have profited from being associated with TFs. Money talks.

 

Hope this is true. Also, Porsche's parent company are now the main car brand in the upcoming movie, which is a lot more publicity than MP-21. If the Bumblebee movie is well-received, it might help increase our chances of Jazz. It's also probably a good thing that they're looking to license an Autobot rather than a Decepticon.

I'm aware of this, but it's based on hearsay and the information doesn't come from any official company offering, just some rando, supposed employee. I'm not saying it's not true...it could be 100% accurate, but there's simply no way to confirm it was legit back then, much less would be their stance now. What we do seem to know, though, is there is/was a licensing hangup, confirmed by both TT and former Hasbro employees.

 

That reminds me. With the recent amazon leaks, looks like dino could be getting a studio series figure. Maybe this opens up new possibilities for the stunticons and Road Caesar, considering there’s never been a licensed TF Ferrari before.

 

OPV3 confirmed for Wonderfest in just a week? Cannot wait! Hope he's fully painted, but dozens of shots of a grey proto from every angle and both modes will do, too  

 

If they can get Ferrari, they should absolutely kick off a Car Robots subline of Diaclone Reboot with some MP Omnibots.

Unfortunately Takara’s “retro” line is the super expensive/ overpriced iteration of encore where they only release giant molds. No thanks to a $250 repaint of BW mold from 25 years ago.

It wouldn’t suprised me to see him. They have mostly figured out a screen accurate bot and beast mode in the generations line so taking the next step to create the MP shouldn’t be too hard

 

Hasbro did not celebrated BW because of Takara releasing their MP Primal, knowing they wouldn't do much. IIRC.

 

We should be seeing pics from the magazine any moment now. Keeping fingers crossed there's something good Prime 3.0 or otherwise, man I'd love to see Hound get that call to go with Prime 3.0.

It's hard to imagine Takara celebrating bigger or harder than releasing Dinobot and Megatron within six months of each other.

 

Since I'm not as familiar with BW, after Dinobot and Megs, who is the next largest BW character?

 

Rhinox, I think. Even if Inferno or Tigatron or Terrorsaur is taller, Rhinox is certainly the most massive.

Giving it some thought, I could see the big Beast Wars celebration include finishing off the core cast. If they can get two more out in 2019, and then two more in 2020, that will leave only two left for the anniversary in 2021. Sounds more than doable to me.

 

I just started watching BW episodes. So far, my favorite characters are Cheetor and Rattrap.
Cheetor kind of reminds me of a certain red Lambo Twin.

I don’t think that’s the case. The interviewer mentioned Mp Primal and Warden said Hasbro had no plans for a celebration and just deferred and said something to the effect

it is definitely doable, but I don’t trust Takara to actually get it done
