Hell, they could release a Quintesson, the thing has no licensing issues, does not even have to transform! I know it would bring in a boatload of money for Takara.

What if 2019 releases are the next ?

    Optimus Prime v3
    Rodimus Prime v2
Cerebros/Fortress compatible with LG Fortress Maximus' body
    God Ginrai
    Star Saber reissue
    Dai Atlas
    Lio Convoy
    Big Convoy

For the MPM line could be see ROTF Megatron

    .......that would be...........expensive.
Even though when Fort Max was in that poll, I though it was for a MP Fortress so I could see that happening one day. I would rather get Prime and some multiple sized releases for throughout the year.

True- however, your original post made it seem that money was definitely the problem and the solution, which is entirely speculation itself.

Why all leaders? Would like to see a mix of different character types and sizes. Also, I highly doubt we will get that many new molds in a year...

In terms of popularity would think waspinator or rattrap. My personal hope is for Terrorsaur or Tarantulas though

I think Blaster next year, finally. We're getting Shockwave+ and Megatron+ this year. Soundwave+ is the obvious missing release. So I'd say he's coming, and he leads naturally to Blaster.

    And then a v2 Seeker mold in 2020. :p

This is genius. This is precisely how they should handle it. A real MP sized Fort Max would be too bananas to attempt. Too big and too costly. I’d buy just the head as long as the LG FM interacted with it like a grandois display stand haha.

This certainly sounds plausible. I'd also imagine that the tear we're on would continue in fits and starts.

    My 2019 guess is:
    MP Blaster
    MP Steeljaw
    MP Rewind
    MP Rattrap
    MP Trailbreaker
    MP Galvatron

As much I don’t want to believe this would happen I could totally see Takara doing just this .

I would prefer Waspinator or Terrorsaur before Rattrap.

I think that is being very optimistic. We already have OP V3 taking up a slot as well as whatever MPMs HasTak are planning. Also, BW Megatron may very well end up being released in 2019. I think we will get 1 new G1 mold besides V3 prime, 1 new BW mold, and 1-2 MPM molds next year with the rest being repaints.

Oh, I agree, I'm being absolutely optimistic, AND I would like to add, that this is predicated on MP BW Megatron coming out in 2018. If that slips, then so too would my predictions.

I would ALSO like to add that I'm taking the position that both Autobot Cassettes will come with MP Blaster, not just 1, b/c than that would throw the additional cassettes off.

    1. So we get an MP Blaster b/c they've sort of hinted at it, and it's a big figure they can make w/ no licensing issue.
    2. I figure MP Steeljaw b/c we already got MP Nightstalker, so, while a little different, it won't be an entirely new mold.
    3. I figure MP Rewind b/c he has a mold-mate in MP Eject so TT can recoup the fee somewhat. Also b/c black is more dynamic and matches Blaster than the blue, but that's just my personal take.
    4. As for MP Rattrap, I look at it this way, he's a major Beast Wars character, and we're getting a couple of bigger, high price point BW characters this year in BW Dinobot and BW Megatron. So maybe a smaller one makes more sense.
    5. I figure MP Trailbreaker b/c he also has a mold-mate they can save on design down the road, he's an original Ark character, no one here seems to seriously think they won't be able to get the license, etc.
    6. MP Galvatron is, admittedly, more "pie-in-the-sky" perhaps, but TT has seemed to make more of an effort to give us big bads, and now, with MP Megatron out, AND MP BW Megatron forthcoming, it seems more likely.
    7. Duh, I meant to include MP Optimus Prime v3 in here, but I forgot.
    8. For the amount of repaints we could be getting in Diaclone colors, I feel that they've slowed in this area (Cordon aside), so I'm not too bullish on them. Maybe we get one... Maybe.
    9. The MPM line looks pretty cool, but I'm just not considering them to be the same thing. Is this right? Wrong? I'm not sure, but I am open to considering that this may throw off my predictions.

The mpms are a sub line, they're not made of some unused jazz mp prototype or hound. Hoho.

Anyway, i expect ratchet to be made for 2019, as for megatron, NOTRAB said that a Megatron MPM wasn't in the works back in september (2017), but anything could have happened since then, remember that they were not even sure to release Barricade.

Regarding the G1 topic, i honestly think it's slower due the fact that the team of designers are working on a ton of other figures for generations, i mean:

2015-2016 had an amousing quantity of MPs yet the generations lines had a ton of remolds and repaints, using almost the same engeenering , it's not the same now as we have an extra generations lime (studio series) with more budget than the POTP line.

But honestly, i hope with that time they polish each figure as they need, dinobot it's looking promising.

    Also:

    Optimus MPM remold rumoured

So this asian re-release of MP-9?
    a) no good reason, just decided to put it out
    b) incoming movie bot in 2019?
    c) incoming Rodimus Prime in the next year or two years, and Hasbro Asia is making their money now?

was pretty sure they had two different set of designers for the Generations/MP lines. Wouldn't surprise me the guys working on the Studio Series are the guys who use to work on Takara's LG line. Studio Series may just be splitting the difference, Takara had no MPM presence at their last show, barring a picture of MPM-4 in "Primes" display.
