I think you are likely right; however, I suspect the profit margin of MP is quite large compared to their other lines. I am only speculating, but when you look at MP10 versus POTP OP, I am assuming that the profit margin on the $225 (Cdn) MP is much higher than the $40 (Cdn) POTP version. I don't know what it costs to produce the MP versus POTP version, but doubt it is five times the cost. Hence why I believe the margins are higher on MPs. However, there is no question that they will sell many many more POTP versions than MP and so I do believe the mainlines generate more profit. I like your example of SUVs vs sports cars, but take it one step further. SUVs were the vehicle with the highest profit margins of all their vehicles. For a while, they just could not build enough of these things and the margins on them were huge. We are talking about a truck or van platform that they slapped all-wheel drive on and added $20-30k on to the price.
