I don't mind the human cast, and sure, if Takara was consistent with them and made them nice little posable people that were in correct scale, I wouldn't have anything to say about it. But they don't even have painted faces. I'd rather they put that plastic toward something else.

Yeah, I'm not much a fan of the little tiny Spike that's floating around my parts box myself. I'd've happily paid $10 less for Bumblebee and been denied the 'joys' of the little power suit Spike, even.

I've always found that humans are the least interesting thing about Transformers, other than as a MacGuffin for how to define the Autobots as good guys who'll protect us short squishy people.

Speaking for myself, I just toss the little human pieces into a junk drawer. I collect Transformers for love of the Cybertronian characters, not the crappy human characters.

The lack of MP preorders just resulted in me buying TLK Premiere Drift and Sqweeks.

I really thought Blaster was going to come out soon after Soundwave. Hey, maybe he is the "long-awaited" character. :D

Ugh, I agree. Starscream is not one of my favorite Bayverse designs.

I just hope it's being pushed back to make sure the QC is good.

Shattered Glass, nah. It's too niche. G2, maybe Laser Prime? It's Optimus Prime, and that's a pretty popular look for him. And you can redeco it into RID Scourge. I'd like to see a G2 tank Megatron, but I don't know if that'll ever happen.

Me neither. I wish they were a bit bigger with more detail.

I know they're wildly out of scale with MP figures (scale in TFs? Hah!), but I was looking at those GI Joe/TF crossover figures of "Only Human" Arcee and Rodimus and got to thinking it'd be neat to have Joe-scaled figures of the TF human cast.

Don't see the big deal about the figures except maybe exo suit the rest are most likely extra plastic and a little extra from the budget they decided they could get some use out of.They're like parsley sprig on your plate when you go out to eat. It isnt meant to be eaten it's just useless decoration.

Arcee & Hound could be excellent additions to the masterpiece line

TT could bring some BWII and BWN figures into the MP line in the future. Presumably they'd be gunning for screen accuracy on these figures, which would be something a little more matte to match the anime palette.

We know Primal is getting the matte treatment with MP-38. What if Cheetor gets a matte version too? What if all BW MPs do, so they'd match potential BW2 and BWN MP figures?

Personally I think Cheetor's "show color" vs "toy color" isn't as much a difference as Primal's to warrant its own release, plus Cheetor wasn't in BWII. That said, I think you're right on suggesting future II and Neo entrants in the MP series (obviously I've already shortlisted Lio Convoy), and Thrustor is an obvious Dinobot remold.

Now it gets interesting: years ago we heard a rumor that MP Galvatron was incoming. Some fans suggested they'd never release Galvatron before Megatron, and whether intentionally or not, that has proved true, possibly fueling the thinking that a "future version" of a character would never be released before a "past version."

Thrustor and Dirgegun were previously Thrust and Dirge... from what we in the U.S. know as Machine Wars molds.

Could this happen? Could we see BWII Thrust, Dirge, Starscream and Megastorm in their Generation 2- and Machine Wars-derived forms in the next several years, preceding their Beast Wars-derived upgraded forms?

There's been some enthusiasm for a G2 tank Megatron, and those Machine Wars jets are very repaint-friendly.

    Food for thought.

I realise Cheetor and the rest of the BW cast weren't in BWII or Neo, but by putting out matte versions, it does away with the concern that some people have that BW molds have no redeco potential. Doing matte versions guarantees that each mold has at least one, and also creates a second set to collect, which would also display perfectly next to BWII and Neo MP molds.

Then there's Shadow Panther. Whether from a Cheetor or Tigatron mold, how would fans want it painted? He didn't appear in any show and exists purely as a toy, so he'd probably get a matte version. By having a larger display of matte figures, he'd fit right in.

I could see them doing a toy version of Cheetor with a brighter yellow, solid spots, alternate eye colors, and a mutant mask.

That's been my theory for BW repaints where there's no remould potential as well. Most of the toys had different colour maps than the show models, and those oddball mutant faces add a layer of neat weirdness. It's not quite an original Diaclone job, but I expect it'll work for hardcore collectors.
