Fingers crossed. I'd love to hear more about MP Beast Wars, but I'd also like to know if MP Jazz is true.

 

Could it be that Porsche says the toy can be made for x amount and Tamara is like "huh that's kinda high . . . Let's make beast wars and inferno in the mean time?"

 

I put my money on another Primal repaint.

 

I really don't feel like Porsche's licensing fee would be that high (relatively speaking). First off, if they're looking to licensing to keep them solvent, they're already in deeper financial trouble than licensing profits could ever fix. And second, that's not the case anyway, because they're owned by Volkswagen and that "fixes" their financial problems.

Bit bad form to announce Beast #4 before they've even shown Beast #3.

 

At least a rumor will do for the fourth Beast, Everything else we need pictures or official announcement.

 

I'd quite like to see a new Arker announced. Another BW would be cool, but a steady back-and-forth would be a good balance at this point for new molds.

Even a 2-1 split since a lot of BW characters don't really have many repaint options would be pretty good since most G1 have at least one or two to pad things out. That way they could keep up the balance of things as well as provide new molds for both sets.

Speaking of Rattrap, what do you figure his chances of getting an extensive remold into somebody like Razorbeast or any of the Basic-class non-show guys? Or would a simple Packrat redeco be enough?

 

If our thinking is correct and we can expect bots like Lazorbeak, Grimlock and Buzz Saw to turn up because of their redeco potential from show models, then I'd say a Razorbeast retool could very well be on the cards to extend the non-show cast.

 

I'd say that them doing Rattrap will be a pretty interesting case all by itself. He'd be pretty damn small, even compared to 'Bee in some respects (I'm thinking of really small hands/wrists or feet, torso too, really). His original toy - Terrorsaur's as well - are pretty different from the show models, so I wouldn't expect to see the spring-loaded feature mimicked, let alone the common design style.

 

From what I've seen, Downbeat looks to be a very good figure. Maybe he is takara's big reveal. That's a very good chance, but there's agood chance he isn't. But getting your hopes up so high on a chance that's only possible, not probable, will mossy likely lead you to a very big let down. Either they reveal it, and it possibly isn't what you think, letting you down; or it's not revealed at all, and destroys you completely. Don't expect anything from this line, and roll with the punches. Because there's this:

While Downbeat might not be your jazz, if Takara doesn't make him, there will be many 3P to go after his design, and there will probably be one to your liking. Based on aesthetics, Downbeat looks great. I haven't had the chance to mess with him, but I'm aware of his flaws. So if you aren't happy with him, just hold tight, because at some point, someone will make one that you'll love.

Mm.... I think they'd just have to refine the generations figure in some ways, and they'd be golden. The generations figure size wise, it's already really close to what would be in scale with primal and cheetor. I think, anyway. I mean, I thought Rhinox should be bigger than primal, them I see a screen shot of him actually being about a head shorter. *shrugs*
