Hmmmm.....one could hope!
Omega Supreme would be incredibly expensive, unless Takara limits him to Star Saber size. But then people would complain that he's too small.
I actually was considering to list him also. Again Omega Supreme would be a perfect mold mate for a rumoured Devastator.. Extremely left field & potentially a crippling blow to FT's projected profits.
The Guardian robot would be an easy repaint, the could even cut costs and leave out the head ;-)
I'd imagine a miniature crushed Blitzwing to come with him to again nod to the toon.
Man I'm kinda naively hoping the key to vector sigma is our easter egg hint for a Stunticon being announced. They are a team that imo could be spread out as their individual figures are strong.
In regards to the Takara VS 3rd party conversations.. I'm in the favour of 3rd parties rushing to market when they get a whiff of TT's plans, however!.... from my experience working in the design & creative industry with many friends who are head designers in various companies; i'll tell you this... Companies keep a folder / database of their competitors bootlegs - imitation product ranges.
Lamborghini was born because Enzo Ferrari arrogantly scoffed at what they had to say.
Even if it isn't company culture to watch 3rd parties you can bet that the designers will as they are their competitive peers.
Man I want that shirt.
Well I'm gonna pay for Toyworld Cosmos soon so odds on it'll be him. I'd be very happy with Seaspray or Powerglide though too.
Expensive yes, but I think he would still sell well, especially along with Devastator. I don't keep up with 3rd party items at all so I don't know how it would affect them.
As for the Stunticon's, you maybe onto something there. I had thought to myself when Shockwave came out "hey that saluting hand is for Megatron". Gotta have a leader to salute right? The Stunticon's can be repainted into the G2 Versions, however (as much as I'd like to be wrong) I just don't see them coming before Jazz. It would be nice to see the Decepticons have a heavy hitter though.
Considering kobayashi's love for sharkticons...
It was actually a football stadium, I think. Although, I think the episode with the female Autobots might've been the one with the Autobots playing basketball or baseball. Maybe it's Elita-1?
Can't TC ever just state an opinion without being over-interpreted?
You know we're just joking around right?
Reflector and Insecticons, yes!!!!
after jazz has been revealed this year or even shadowed
Powerglide, with viper repaint??? Out of left field and can be launched....
Thinking 4-5 years down the track, and with the Season 1 Beast Wars Masterpiece set complete, TT may keep the ball rolling with the Season 2 and 3 bodies. Beast Wars has a small cast compared to G1, but there is one name that's quite unlikely to get the MP treatment: Transmutate.
However, TT could take a leaf out of the playbook from the Beast Wars 10th Anniversary and release parts with each new BW figure to complete a Transmutate statue.
MP Cheetor, Inferno and Grappple come with little die-cast statuettes instead of coins. The Transmutate parts could be die-cast, and when joined, would create a statue to scale with the BW MP line.
Outta left field ? Chromedome ....
If we are following the teachings/musings of Thundercracker (all hail and bless him) and the patterns we talk about.
Left field + minibot love + repaint potential + 3P announcing a release = Huffer / Pipes
Logically good choice and we are long overdue a minibot.
Without the minibot love comment im still firmly in the Trailbreaker/Hoist camp
"You think I'm a funny guy? Funny how?"
"Does my dislike of Cosmos and Seaspray amuse you?"
Yeah I've been wondering the same recently. Just playing around with numbers with no basis in fact whatsoever, but anyway...
How many figures can they sell? I'm not sure if it's knowledge or speculation but we often talk about runs of 1000s for 3P figures, maybe 10s of thousands for the most popular. How many MPs will Takara sell? Gotta be a lot more but it's still nichey stuff and very competitive for adult collectors' $$ in Japan - 100,000 figures for a release? How much of the wholesale price of one figure can the license fee amortization be for a carbot? Cant be that much, can it? Maybe $5? $10 absolute max? So I'm getting 100s of thousands, up to a million max for license fee. Can that be reasonable?
Either way it's gotta be chump change for these car manufacturers, right? So, very easy for them to refuse if they are not interested - not really that lucrative for them.
Unless it really could be millions - then I don't see how the figure's sales can support that alone - maybe has to come from other areas of the TT money pot if the bosses OK it. Maybe that's part of the hold up for Jazz?
Own up, Who's hidden MP-39?
He's walking from the Pred base to the Axalon. He'll be along shortly.
If they're intending on announcing MP-39 this month, I'm expecting to see it Friday, as (I think) the next Figure King comes out this week.
We actually have no idea what number Dinobot will be. There was significant lead time between silhouette and actual reveal time in the past. He could be MP-44 for all we know.
Separate names with a comma.
