Basically, Bumblebee, Cliffjumper and (fake) Jazz want their Autobot brethren!

I don't see the point in making scaled down MP-Seekers at all. Basically, use the scale/size points where needed.

    Sounds good to me.

    1) This would be ideal, as the Deluxe cars in Classics seem just a little too small next to MP10, and Voyager class seems like it would be just a little too big.
    2) I could do without licensed vehicles; I'd MUCH rather they go for "close-enough" depictions of their G1 '80s alt mode than using modern cars. If it's going to be modern cars like a Binaltech/Alts 2.0, then I don't want them to compromise the characters as much for the sake of the car.
    3) Like I said for the first one, the Deluxe Classics cars are a little smaller than what I'd want for mini-MPs, so I'm not real concerned about scaling them up with "CHUG" figures.
    4) A proper Hasbro/Takara-Tomy would be fantastic.

It all sounds good. Just the possibility of an official combiner set (ie updated Stunticons) makes my wallet cringe. So, yes to all.

If we're talking about G1 MP figures:

    >1) Smaller scaled, between Deluxe and Voyager sized
Yeah, we definitely need smaller figures for characters like Jazz, Prowl and such. Not sure if Deluxe/Voyager would be the right scale (in robot mode) to fit with MP-09 and 10 though.
    >2) Licensed vehicles (either American/European/Japanese makes)
As long as they're accurate to what they were in the show, yes.
    >3) Somewhat in scale with the majority of the current CHUG lines
    I don't mix lines so I don't really care.
    >4) Possibility of a combiner
MP-10 sized Motormaster with smaller Stunticons: ultimate win.

If we're talking about "something else" MP figures:

    YES
    YES
    Still don't care
    YES

Sorry to be a descenting voice but....

    1) Yes.

    2) Since non-Japanese licensed vehicles were apparently a sticking point for Takara in the past, i have my doubts. Hasbro involvement might offset that...
but then there's the issue of making them attractive to Hasbro retailers.

3)Eh. I can see this being a goal rather than an absolute. Example: Takara's apparent claim that MPs are now all in scale is invalided by the fact that Grimlock is still too small.
I can see them chucking this idea out the window as soon as they consider it beneficial to do so.

4)Lack of a decent TF Combiner in a long time, more so a decent G1 combiner. I smell mold reuses because they'll decide people will pay pay PAY $$$$$$$$.

OK that 4th combiner option was added after I replied.

HELL YES TO ANY AND ALL COMBINERS.

I know Hastak can make one that is much better than any 3rd party offering and for a fraction of the price. Do it guys, show em all why you are the boss.

P.S. Omega Supreme really needs some love.

With PP03L out, and PP03D not too far off, i'd contend they should release them sooner rather than later.

Of course, it does also suit me to think they should do that.

    1) no...unless the character is in scale to MP10.
    2) no. Prefer G1 cartoon inspired/accurate vehicle modes
    3) no. I prefer MP to stick with its own scale and leave CHUGS out of the equation.
    4) maybe. I might make a cncession for this andbuy it even if the scale is off but it really depends on the price.

What also excites me is that he only mentioned deluzes and voyagers. This would mean that a Scamble City combiner would be Voyager and deluxes and will be nice and big.

But if we're talking characters like the Autobot cars (Jazz, Prowl, etc.) inbetween Deluxe and Voyager likely would be in scale with MP-10 (or pretty close to it).

    This.

If you're that bothered about over-sized cars so they're almost the size of MP-10 then BT/Alternators can fill that gap (personally I feel MP-01 works with BT, but some of you have strange ideas about "scale") basing it on, of all things, an inconsistent kids cartoon. :p

If you want updated G1 molds that don't quite reach the levels of MP engineering and don't have licensed alt modes then you have Classics.

A new MP/Alternity hybrid line is basically the only line I've waited years for (ever since the smaller MPs made the BTs look out of scale). PLEASE MAKE IT HAPPEN!

    1) Smaller scaled, between Deluxe and Voyager sized
I'd prefer more voyager sized, specially if it involves combiner components.
(although I would hope that this would not become the norm, size-wise, as I'm still hoping for an MP-01 sized Jetfire)

    2) Licensed vehicles (either American/European/Japanese makes)
I love this idea, although I already have most of the Alternator line and mostly consider those figures as their "MP" versions, so unless it's one of a handful of figures, I don't see my budget allowing my interests to be piqued.

    3) Somewhat in scale with the majority of the current CHUG lines
I have no interest in mixing MPs with the Classics-style lines so this makes absolutely zero sense to me.

    4) Possibility of a combiner
Any true G1 based combiner is of HUGE interest to me. A decidedly HUGE figure along the lines of TFC Hercules is what I'd hope for (or bigger even). Menasor and Devastator are my top priorities here.

And one more thought: Any other free market research HasTak wants to do (officially or unofficially) is more than welcome here, IMO.

    Totally agree:

Which is why I'm not too bothered about which way the MP line seems to be moving.....

    Huh?

The so-called CHUG lines aren't in scale with themselves. See Windcharger and Jazz, and then compare to Starscream, Cyclonus, and Thunderwing.

That is the key term, "personally". Each person has a right to put whatever they want into their collection, and to use whichever criteria they choose.

Your last comment, denigrating the notion of a "kids cartoon", is ironic since the entire hobby is based on grown adults that still collect "kids toys".

I was kinda going for a little bit of irony here. ;-)

Point is - with the exception of the known "mass shifting" Transformers I choose a semblance of relative scale based on the known size of the alt modes. I'm totally at ease with Jazz coming up to Prime's waist. On the MP Seekers towering over the Autobot cars and on an MP Magnus being larger than MP Optimus in robot form.

Sounds kinda like the original Transformers toy line; Jazz was about waist high next to Prime, the Seekers might not have been towering over the cars but they were noticeably larger, and Magnus was larger than Prime.
