Bucky/Winter Soldier seems like the obvious route, but I really really hope it turns out to be Clint (Hawkeye/Ronin).
Howard the Duck! Well it couldn't be any LESS insulting to readers than having anyone else as Captain America other than Steve Rogers.
That would also be a reasonable idea, but Clint already played dress-up when he was Ronin. Maybe it'll be a whole Thunderbolts type reveal in that the New Cap is actually a villain or reformed villain .
He didn't want to be TONY'S Captain America. What good is being a symbol if you don't believe in the ideal? I'd like to see Clint finish his stint as Ronin and go on to become the new Cap. He has a gun. So what? For all we know, it's a gas pellet gun or something. I loved the recent issue of New Avengers when they saw how they see themselves in their heart and soul, and Clint was Captain America (and Luke Cage was in the yellow silk shirt.. lol). Could be foreshadowing.
That costume is awful. Just the fact that the flag comes down to a point, which happens to point down to his nether regions is not only offensive but is just plain lame. I'm not even gonna talk about the rest of the costume.
What bollocks. The point is nowhere near his groin. If anything, it terminates at his navel, which (as far as I can recall from when I last had sex in the Jurassic era) isn't a sexual organ. I don't like Captain America. I do like that costume, though.
You don't like it because of the inaccuracies you perceive it through? Neat. I's called "design". I doubt any of the guys working with concept art for the new outfit sat around and asked each other "Now, what can we do to subliminally pervert the youth of America through its greatest hero?"
