When you were a kid? That show was only 9 years ago.

    Damn.

    I hate getting older.

Well there is a saying in the toy industry. "There will always be a market for tops, balls, and dolls."

It's not like the fighting top concept was new even then. I had some in the 80's that were Transformers themed, and later some Ninja turtles ones.

I watched all previous seasons of Beyblade, so I gave this one a chance and was thoroughly disappointed. I agree that the beyblades look stupid in the new cartoon, and the first episode was so close to the first episode of the first season that it's ridiculous.

The lack of Bit Beasts dosnt seems bad to me..
What annoys me about these "kids playing a game" series, is that it often involves the whole "its much more than just a game" factor.. With monsters, spirits.. all that jazz.
Concept getting overused if you ask me.

If the shill cartoons were anything like the actual product, 15-20 minutes of each episode would be kids arguing about the game on the internet and begging thier parents for more money to spend on it.

There's a new beyblade? Huh. I thought they just died out. I gave away my old ones since I grew bored with them, and from what you guys are saying it's not worth checking out the new series.

I still sometimes wonder how spinning tops got so damn popular to begin with.

It might be self-centered of me to say, but I still wonder how any of these shows had enough of a following to warrant a revival. I know folks prolly thought of this for Beast Wars, but I never saw anything this side of the 90's come out that had any staying power, with the exception of Pokemon and Power Rangers, and I still can't see Pokemon getting a Live Action movie 30 years in the future... I may be wrong about that one though.

The tops are about the same size as the Hard Metal System, which gave us some of the greatest Beyblades ever made. Plus, the new ones are a lot more durable, judging by how the fastener has to be screwed in and is more solid. Not gonna watch the cartoon which seems like it was greenlit because Bakugan got successful, but the new tops are pretty fun. And you can leave the "street" stickers off if you wish.

I guess Ruined FOREVER applies to ALL Hasbro toylines :p
