Can people PLEASE stop believing that the Nemesis is Trypticon?

Yes, the books do it but the books also have things that contradict the series and the game.

Why not assume Prime is its own thing and not make baseless assumptions? Sure they could make the Nemesis be Trypticon, but thus far we have had not a single iota of a hint that this is the case. It is better to assume it is just a ship until proven otherwise.

I can't blame people for thinking the thing will be Trypticon when it's about to go sentient. I don't think it will be him (I HOPE it won't be him actualy for reasons I already mentioned) but I can definetely see that the speculation is sound.

It kind of has to be at this point. If it's not then I don't see how it could threaten humanity.

I actually like the idea of Trypticon being A ship, but I hate the idea of him being THE NEMESIS.

Thought. Starscream is currently poking around the Harbringer. Maybe he hits a switch by accident. After all the preview never specifies it's the Nemesis.

They're in the same continuity family, so the possibility is there. It's not a definite yes, but saying it's a definite no until the show airs is just as stupid.

The next episode has the Nemesis gaining sentience.

If it's not Trypticon I'll be mad.

Ehhh... they say "the" Decepticon Warship, not "a" Decepticon Warship. I think that kind of shows it's the Nemesis. Plus, the Harbringer's divided in two. Not sure it can do much.

How the hell would it "threaten" humanity if it's just a vegetable on some cliff?

Also, most of us know they aren't the same continuity, but they share many traits. If it's the same ship from the novels, which was Trypticon, and gained sentience, it's very fair to assume it's Trypticon.

The problem with that though is the same basic one as I have with it being the Nemesis. Harbinger is already a named ship. I don't like the idea of Trypticon having two names.

In Exodus, Trypticon was Trypticon station before becoming sentient. I would want to see a ship named Trypticon.

Though if he had to be a ship already introduced, I would prefer it be Harbinger over the Nemesis.

If the writers decided to do such a thing, then so be it.

But that's the problem with this so-called "aligned continuity" stuff: I personally think that people are simplifying it into thinking that it's all one straight arrow instead of considering that every show, game and book are all branches of some origin that they all share.

    This.

They're in the same Continuity family so we can probably make the assumption that certain things are true for both universes. It's not a 100% thing but I think we can use it as evidence for speculation at the very least.

In the novels, Nemesis is a class of ship. Maybe when they say The Nemesis, they mean The Dreadnaught, or The Battleship.

I was just about to say that. And correct me if I'm wrong, but the ship has never been referred to as The Nemesis...

    You sure about that?
I might be wrong, but I could almost swear that I remember it being called The Nemesis.

I want to say it has been called THE Nemesis but I'm not 100% on that. I'm 90%.
