I've wanted to know what some TF's alt. modes names are.

I do know that G1 Jazz is a Martinii Porsche Turbo. Do you know the real names of the alt. modes that belong to a few Transformers?

    Not this again.

There should still be a bunch of threads about this.

For pretty much everything from 2002 onwards that's not officially licensed, you'd get "based on but slightly different" or even "using elements of X, Y and Z".

Also, "Martinii" is the deliberate misspelling on the toy. The real brand "Martini" was a sponsor of the racing car, but the actual model was a Porsche 935 Turbo.

Basically, check TFWiki.net's articles on each toy, they tell you exactly what those are based on. That should be more useful than a bunch of people on a message board making "I think Bumble Bee is a Vollkswaggon Bugg" guesses.

It is easier to do this. I remember having to only use Steve-O's old text files before tfwiki showed up on the scene.

Well in my defense, I never tried to pass off my post as being useful, and it wasn't a guess. :)

I wasn't specifically referring to you (I just happened to pick Bumblebee because he was the first one I could think of as an example of someone to get halfway right and still wrong at the same time). :)

Hah its all good. If anything, that's basically why I said it too, and the fact that you did the same made the entire thing even better.
