As I have no clue how to close a thread I have erased the writing that said what this was about.
For those who have posted and knows what this thread was about the reason for me "closing" the thread was in the first comment someone said the character in the comic was someone else and when I looked up the character I noticed the similarities and even with the character in the comic being who I thought he was I barely had enough evidence for this thread so wether he is who I thought he was or the redeco he is a toy based character not a movie based one so without that evidence I am "closing" the thread.

First: Bludgeon is a Toy-Only Char
Second: In Rising Storm this is not Bludgeon, it's Banzaitron! Only for Promoting the Toy!

    That's it

Just Because Bludgeon is in the comics doesn't mean he is going to be in the movie, we would have seen a tank prop on set. but that head does bear alot of similarities so we shall wait and see.

That head looks nothing like the Red head on set at all.
As the colour is almost a perfect Match for Rosso red on a Ferrari, I would say it was the Ferrari, who is an autobot.

    Exactly.

If the first words on your post are "I believe" or "I think", you should probably stop right there.

I really don't care who that turns out to be, either way I'm getting this guy's toy, he looks bad ass!

Unless this guy actually turns out to be Hot Rod. (I doubt it will though.)

    1) A Ferrari is not a Hot Rod.

    2) Hasbro can't use the name Hot Rod or Autobot Hot Rod

    3) What is Hot Rod generally associated with other than Prime's death, replacing Prime, and being a doubt-ridden, less than stellar, leader?

So why would they call it Hot Rod?

Most likely, the Ferrari is nobody.

Bay wanted a Ferrari in the movie. He was able to wheel and deal with the company because he has a good working relationship with them. As a result, we have a car without a pre-determined identity (that is, it wasn't written to be a specific character with the car chosen after the fact) which means Hasbro gets to choose the name.

    He'll be Swerve.

I agree with you entirely, but some fans believe that he might turn out to be Roddy.

Personally, I hope the Ferrari is Cliffjumper.

Some fans are determining what they want, then working backwards in an attempt justify their conclusion.

    But nothing new there.

I dont know what the OP is smokeing but it is NOT him lol. Top names which it MIGHT be. 1) Rodimus 2) Cliffjumper 3) Mirage 4) No name character. Im leaning on Cliffjumper or Mirage since they did say there is a spy who is sneaky in the film. Mirage was always looked at someone who could not be trusted and they always had an eye on him. So who knows. Just wait till the damn movie comes out and stop stating your so called facts that are purly false information. Also WHY is there like 20 threads on this same issue over the past few months? Damn people condense!

Some how I doubt that the Ferrari is nobody even Jolt had a purpose he combined Prime and Jetfire and I don't think it is Swerve he was only a toy character as I understand it. I think it is someone important probably one of the bots on the Ark. As for who, my hopes go to Rodimus.

He was referring to the character, not the car.

I don't think it's Bludgeon, they already made a toy of him in ROTF and having Bludgeon look completely different in the same 'Universe' would be confusing. I think it's the Ferrari-bot. I just want a HA version of him!

The Ferrari is called Ultra Magnus or Super Mario Kart.
    And that's a fact! :)

I kind of think you're missing my point, which is that the Ferrari was likely not conceived as a character first - let's say Hot Rod - and then an alt mode was selected to fit that character. Rather, the alt mode was chosen and then a name and role given to fit it. If that's the case, Hasbro - which we know time and time again loves to name red Autobot spots cars Swerve - will be responsible for selecting a name. That's most likely what they'll choose.

That's not to say he'll be as incidental to the script as Jolt was. I'm sure he'll have some cool action scenes since he's been spotted mostly traveling with Bumblebee and Sideswipe. I'm just not convinced he was meant to be Hot Rod or that he's going to be particularly important to the plot.

Incidentally, I think your Jolt example reinforces my theory that Swerve is a likely name. As near as I can recall, Jolt was a toy-only name until he was added to ROTF - for exactly the same reasons as I'm suggesting the Ferrari was - to advertise the car first and foremost, and a character second.

Of course, we'll find out soon enough. Just two months to go!

I don't think it's Bludgeon. He needs to ba a skeletal samuri.

Has anyone ever thought the head could be Dead End? Just a random thought.
