Stop coming the fuck back.
I didnt want to see you guys speculating about what a 16 year old kid is doing. Also I am not planning on staying because of how obvious I made this account being me.
Thats good because ive reported you.
Please dont come.back, thank you.
Oh well, extra murder tools (in plastic form) is something I'd want in a theoretical DOTM Prime remold, but over that I'd rather them fix a few questionable base designs first.
Like the neck stump. Did I mention that I loathe his half-decapitated neck?
IIRC other members have stated that the the right ear being a separate piece and the neck stump are compromises to make the head-swapping gimmick work.
Honestly I'd like the most unlikely proposition: that the next MPM Prime be another new figure altogether that borrows ideas from ROTF and MPM-4. There has to be a design that can execute both robot and vehicle mode without substantial tradeoffs
And have a consistent paint job . Maybe 2 heads instead of the spin head swap gimmick . He’s Optimus Prime not good cop / bad cop from the LEGO movie
Except the LEGO cop can actually emote
Prime just looks angry with both the mask off and on
They gave him squinty eyes -.- instead of the crisscross eye thingy he had going on . That’s why he always looked angry .
Is MPM-4 worth it? Ever since I ordered Bee, I have been drooling over pictures of Optimus, but the QC/tabbing stuff is a bit of a concern, and I'm also not too sure on the whole scale thing, but I do think he looks good with Bee in robot mode. The robot mode looks absolutely fantastic, and he seems like he'd be bigger than I keep thinking he is (I keep thinking he's a big voyager and Bee a big deluxe for some reason). Plus I'd really like to keep up with MPM and not let it get away from me.
But...yeah, is he worth it? Or should I get the oversized Evasion Prime? (Which I'm not too big on because...it's not 07 Prime and I'd like 07 Prime to go with 07 Bee.)
(The only MP I own right now is Road Rage, so I can't really say one way or the other if MPM-04 would be "Masterpiece caliber".)
yes I think hes worth every penny, they sell an upgrade kit for him that comes with his movie hooks/Dotm Shield and gun, and his knuckles.
I enjoy mine, but I'm considering selling it after picking up the KO with improved tabbing, rubber tires, and better paint.
I bought the Takara version for pretty much the same price as the Hasbro one, and I really like him a lot. Yeah, there's some tabbing issues (maybe not to the extent of the Hasbro one), but it doesn't bother me all that much, since he'll be in robot mode 90% of the time.
I love all three copies of mine! Extremely worth it! I'd suggest getting either Takara or a second run of Hasbro and the tabbing issues are reduced possibly even eliminated.
Hasbro 2nd run - close!
Takara version - tabbed!
I think it's definitely worth it. If you convert it enough times, the tabbing problem slowly goes away anyway. I'd suggest getting it somewhere with an exchange policy so that if you get a defective one, you aren't stuck with it.
My MPM-4 lines up almost perfectly at this point (aside from the smokestack pipes), and it looks incredible.
how do you know if you got a second run of the Hasbro edition?
the bottom right on the back side of the box has a number imprinted on it. If it starts with 72, it's the second run.
thanks! I just ordered mine last week from toys r us and got it yesterday, ill check that when I get home!
I'm in the "I don't know" category. He's a good figure but he fails with the transformation and alt mode. Plus there's accuracy issues throughout both modes.
Now mortal enemies!
Frankly now I can't help but find the official backpack configuration to be bootleggy compared to the alternate one a few others and me have been messing with.
Seriously the silhouette looks fraggin perfect.
