I think I know why most TFs for the movie are in such odd scales. What's interesting though, is that the movie line shouldn't cost us too much - most of the toys are deluxes and voyagers. I'm guessing Classics sold very well, partly because of that. It was easy to own all the characters and it was very encouraging to do so. I remember someone mentioning on these forums that it was the thing they liked the most about it - you don't have to fork out a ridiculous amount to own the leaders. The Leader Prime and Megatrons feel more like afterthoughts; just there because they need to have big figs of the Leaders. It is a shame though, with this being the first realistic vehicle TF since G1, they didn't try to keep them roughly in scale. What the scaling would have been(closest match): Frenzy - LOC(about the closest you can get, heh) Bumblebee - Deluxe Jazz - Deluxe Barricade - Deluxe Scorponok - (smallest) Deluxe Ironhide - Voyager Ratchet - Voyager Bonecrusher - Largest Voyager(less known char = more size for your money) Optimus Prime - Ultra Megatron - Oversized Ultra (Prime is bound to sell more than Megs anyway, so they need to throw people a bone with this one) Brawl - Smaller Leader(packed with features instead). Blackout - Leader Starscream - Leader "Ultra" should be renamed Leader and Leader renamed something that will make kids want to buy them.
