I went to see it twice. I still have my original VHS copy, bought the day it went on sale in the UK; I also have the first Rhino DVD release (the first one with the "oh sh!t" line put back in, and in a DVD box set I got on ebay of the entire G1 cartoon series.
I also have the US Marvel adaptation, and the UK one :)

My original copy from the 80s was watched until it was worn out. I bought the Rhino VHS when it came out..then the Rhino DVD. I sold the DVD when the 20th anniversary DVD came out, and bought that instead.
I remember seeing it in the theater. The first movie I was allowed to see without parents or older siblings! When it came out on video, I watched it 4 times in a row the first night before finally falling asleep. Ah, good times.

Saw it at the flicks just the once and bought the "Video Gems" VHS release the day t came out (pestered my Dad to drive me to the store where I'd ordered it!)

I no longer have that tape (although I do still have my ARRIVAL FROM CYBERTRON tape featuring "More Than Meets the Eye"). I do have the Rhino DVD (with the Vince DiCola "snorting" interview), the reconstructed UK version (currently my favourite) and the US anniversary edition. I'll be getting the UK 2-disc version too for the "Scramble City" with audio.
Not bad for a film I no longer really like...

And I still have my original vinyl soundtrack LP (slightly scratched!)

I have the original on DVD, a chinese version and the 20th anniversary edition.

Theres alot of cool extras in the 20th edition but I dont like how they made Hot Rod look pink.

Ooohh... I just picked up a record player... I've still got a few of my records from when I was younger... The Transformer soundtrack on LP would kick ass... Was it released here in the US?

If so, I am soooo looking for it...

That's one of the only things that bugged me about the 20th anniversary edition. They should really think before doing things like that.

One of my TF sub-collections is the 86 Movie. Original VHS, 2 verions of the Japanese Laserdisk, and many versions from around the world on DVD. I've watched everyone of them. I didn't like Pink Hot Rod in the 20th release, but not being a big Hot Rod fan anyway it's no big deal. I enjoyed the wealth of information on the 20th DVD though, so I guess it's my favorite version, at least for now. I'm still awaiting Metrodome's latest effort.
