Exactly. Once again,I bring up the mustache incident.Would you want that guy as your manager? I sure wouldn't.
Most times you hear that a player is a cancer in the clubhouse. Valentine is one of the few managers who's a cancer in the clubhouse.
Sigh....yeah. The clubhouse got outta control and upper management went the wroooong way. They kept the same players and changed the coaches. They should have kept Francona and booted Beckett, Lackey, and a few others. But, that's easy for Capt. Hindsight to say...
Lackey is by far THE worst player I've had the displeasure of dealing with. I used to work for the A's and we hated it when the Angels rolled into town JUST because of Lackey. Scioscia's already enough of an ass to deal with. Lackey made it MUCH MUCH worse.
Why am I not surprised? He just looks like a jackass/primadonna athlete. I know that's a superficial thing to say, but....he just does. What you said confirms it!
Meh, yeah I was a Mets fan since 86, but I've gotten to the point where I refuse to root for the team because of the Wilpons. As long those idiots occupy the owners' chairs I will not be a Mets fan. Besides I am a LA guy and I love Magic, so it's natural that I'd root for them. Your list is accurate except for Red Sox. Did I ever give you impression I am a Sox fan?
This new playoff home format sucks. So both the Nats and Yankees are traveling thems on the road as a top seed.
Real classy Atlanta fans.....real classy. Bad call or not(it was a bad call),you don't need to show everyone how ignorant you are.
I haven't seen the replay yet, but I heard the umps really flubbed it up. Also as a cardinal fan, I'll take it! I was mad because I'm stuck at work and the two stations here that broadcast the cardinals games wouldn't come in, afte listening to almost every game I could all season long.
The umps made the correct call. If an infielder is easily able to get under the ball, no matter where the ball is, the infield fly rule comes into effect.
Yeah!!! My O's are moving on. My life would be complete now if they could knock the Spankees out next.
OK, admittedly I'm not a baseball fan. However, I like watching when it comes to the playoffs and series. Ironically, I did umpire for several years (AAA and high school ball) so I know the rules pretty well. I don't get the backlash over the infield fly last night. Were the fans and coaches upset because the ball was too far out or was the call too late? It didn't look like it went too far in the outfield. Maybe it was right on the cusp of being too far but it looked like the right call to me since the short stop was right there. It did look like it was too late of a call, his arm didn't go up until the ball was on the ground. Maybe umpires have changed but I was always told to call it before it reached the ground. That way the fielders aren't trying to play the ball. Of course any infield fly being called is going to upset people because it's one man's judgement. I get why the rule exists but it's used sparingly. Making a mess of the field was just ignorant on the fan's part.
