You're looking too much at standard retail.

Even then, NECA's Runner Alien has come with a stand in all releases, and that's a toy you can buy at TRU right now. I believe they made a library ghost figure with a stand. You can find a few Gundam kits at Barnes and Noble with with stands as well.

If we aren't looking at standard American retail, a lot of Web Limited Figuarts releases come with display stands, and literally all Figma do.

 

I managed to get the Arcadia Jumpship set from Target for $15 yesterday.

 

Yes, I stopped by a Target that had Destiny sets on clearance as well. Got a couple more Atheon sets for ten bucks.

 

I'm gonna get Truth so I can customize him being stabbed. :3

Did the Mega division Mattel not get the memo about putting together a display for SDCC this year?

The pictures on ToyArk suggest something like a thrown together at the last minute school project of current product.

More to the point, it looks like stopped by Wal-Mart before hitting the convention to grab what they could.

They don't even have the new cryo capsules or drop pods on display.

 

I get the sense they didn't have anything to show (how?!) but they didn't wanna lose their floor space, either.

 

Yeah, I don't know though maybe they just are getting the coverage. The site seemed to hype... something was to be seen.

Well, all things being the trend they set, I am confident if these are more than just concepts they'll be troop builder sets.

The teased MotU last year with Greyskull and a concept He-man with Battlecat. I really hope we see they Greyskull in full.

And Star Trek's not dead... maybe. That's cool.

 

Can Mega just have every property ever? Their minifigs are so great.
