Thanks but I hate to break it to you TC, the box and insert for Sunstreaker are refab but everything else is all original. Including the tech specs reader. I also need to get a Red Alert box which is the only reason I haven't done him yet.

Thank you my good man. I can't wait for more releases so I can do more photos. I know we're waiting for Trailbreaker, Blaster and the rest but I have a feeling Skids will be left out in the cold.

I wish they would make him so I can have a cowgirl give him a car wash.

Are the Alt modes of iron hide/ratchet and inferno/grapple in a proper scale? The truck modes seem pretty small to my eye

Let's just say that any mention of scale should be treated like they treated it in the cartoon. The scale chart is more of a guideline in developing Masterpiece and 3P figures. The robot modes are closer in scale with each other more than their alt modes are. The Vanettes/Fusos and Prime are not in scale with the other vehicles obviously but that also goes for the 280zxs, the Lambos, Stingrays or the F-15s. Butthere are still some issues like Ultra Magnus towering over everyone but mass-shifting hasn't been invented yet. Hot Rod is also out to lunch and poor, poor Grimlock.

You'll give yourself a nervous twitch worrying about alt mode scale. The focus with the MPs is more on having the robot modes more in scale with one another.

Guys I just wanted to take a moment (I’m on the subway and am quite bored) to reflect back on my own collecting habits over the past year.

This was the nostalgic Facebook ‘1 year ago today’ picture that started my introspective thoughts.
    EE7C868A-2F57-4DC9-AE82-F3649B95C055.jpeg

And here’s a few more shots.

As you can see I enjoyed 3P quite a lot. I had all the good ones.

    0B976E39-2476-4EBF-AF7E-5C06D04B2372.png
I also HAD a bunch of accessories and bonus official items.

    B919FFE6-D68D-4DCC-A4A8-E2AF1EC3CCF9.png F2343EF0-AC7E-4F31-AB29-2D52AD083272.png 9D02C778-1003-4C12-B431-B0394294D99E.png

Well. I sold all that and completed my official collection. I got a whole lot of “but bro why??” questions from friends and collectors alike. I noticed that quite a few people took it rather personal, strangely, that I was redefining my collection so harshly. Somehow it made them feel insecure about their own spending and collecting habits.

Another thing I noticed was as soon as I stated that I don’t collect 3P a select few board members got pretty defensive and sort of started fights with me. I’m typically able to keep a canoe from tipping over (metaphor for preventing arguments) but man people can be really toxic when they think arbitrarily your ideas are vehemently against theirs.

Here’s my collection without any 3P.

    0A8C3144-3070-4C43-9807-B65D27B04186.jpeg

That’s not so bad right? I rather like having only official figures I must say. Does it give me a sense of purity or elitism? Hmm maybe. I’d be rather obtuse to simply say that it doesn’t.

Here’s specifically what I got with all my 3P sells.

    1AA1645B-D6FD-4EC1-A47B-713411D4B3FC.png
To be honest these are my most prideful figs. I paid full scalper price for an authentic (hard to tell these days) Green Bape. The hunt for these 3 figures was so much fun. I’m being sincere. It was very exciting to get each of these.

The Diaclones are complete as of now as well. But I don’t have an updated picture on my phone. Please forgive.

Plus, everything possible to preorder as of today has been preordered.

Well I’m almost at my stop. Just wanted to check in and share with everyone.

By the way if I’ve been rude to you or offended any of you in any way I apologize. Let’s keep up the good collecting spirit this year yeah? At our age you never know what kinds of hardships can hit you, and I’m sure like most of you, these toys give me only pleasure. Let’s keep the negativity out.

    Cheers

It is your collection, your prerogative. Don't let other people dictate your own requirements.
These are people with insecurities and feel good berating others. All I can say to these type of people is to kiss my hairy ass.

    They don't deserve you, buddy.

Nothing that awesome to write home about, but not bad. The new Nightstalker (Steeljaw mold) is decent, but mine did come with a QC issue where one front paw was assembled in reverse. Will post up a closeup pic later to see if anyone can give me some advice to fix (not sure how to remove a pin of some sort that holds the paw in place but allows it to bend).

If you look closely the whole leg can pivot through 360 degrees just above the knee... spin it round first. See if that fixes it - i had to do that for mine. I dont think its missassembled, or if it is, you really dont need to do anything more than spin it

It looks like only the actual paw itself is in upside down right? From what I can see, there isn't actually a pin even holding it in place:

If that's the case, maybe heating the plastic will allow you to pull the paw out and turn it upside down? Not sure, as I don't have this guy in hand.
