I work at a theatre, and caught the first couple minutes of the new John Cena movie, and it's laugh-out-loud funny. Purely unintentional mind you. The opening music sounds like the music from UHF when 'Weird Al' decides to go to war...but 'The Marine' isn't intended to be a parody. At the end of the opening credits, they show Cena, bring in the title, and Cena...salutes. So far, so cliched. The opening sequece finds our hero rescuing some other poor soldiers. There's lots of explosions going on in front of them, and so one of the whiney rescuees asks, 'how we gonna get around that, sir?' The response? Come on, you can guess it.... Yup. It's 'We're not going around it. We're going through it.' Maybe Vince McMahon should try making some movies made after 1982 if he intends on making films. 'See No Evil' felt like a cheesey 80s horror flick through the whole film, and 'The Marine' is 'Rambo comes home,' apparently. I won't pay for this movie, but I will go in and laugh at it some weekday when no one else is seeing it. -Tony!
