I use cardboard storage boxes that fold together and contain no glue. I’ve had very few things yellow over the years, maybe three total (Legioss, 1/48 Yammie, Stormshadow) which is part of why it was so surprising. The Legioss was also in the same box as other white toys from the 80’s that are still crispy white. Stormshadow I watched gradually get yellower over the years but the Legioss was just BAM, yellow.
Not at the PO-pricing for the DX-1J at this time. Maybe a week or so before release-date, but most likely at MSRP or just a bit less than that. Didn't get to handle/play with it much last nite, but nothing immediately noticeable out of the box. Hopefully no QC-issues to be found other than the HM-wRong pilot for it...
Mine is at the Los Angeles ISC I should get it sometimes this week if all goes well But knowing the LA ISC....I ain't holdin' my breath.
IIRC, HLJ will honor the preorder price of orders open on release day but won't on restocks weeks after(if they get any). I'm shocked yet not shocked Bandai included Hibiki instead of Nexx...Nexx could've been a repaint of Sylvie if anything...
Wow, I just went to HLJ to ship an order and saw the Nexx at $125.00... So I bought it. Always wanted a VF-2, but not for the price of the Evolution Toy version nor the old Bandai model kit. Now I'm waiting for it to process and go to my Warehouse so I can ship out everything including it.

Clear plastic will often react very negatively to all sorts of things---I'd remove the canopy, and not let it anywhere near the stuff, if you plan a peroxide bath.

They were in a regular blue Rubbermaid container that I got from Walmart. Nothing else seemed to yellow that was stored in that same container.

It can be. Fortunately stores like HLJ keep their preorder price when orders reopen on release day. Also the DX VF-1J has been a lot easier to preorder compared to past releases, especially Bandai DX's. To those who missed out, I wouldn't worry too much, I think Bandai is making plenty of this one specifically. This is not at all like the YF-29 Alto that I missed out on 3 times nor the DX VF-171 Alto that sold out in 19 seconds or less.
