Man, some of those are spectacular.

I'd really like to see Hasbro build a new line around the "master" concept, I think it'd be a great departure, breath some new life into the lines and offer up some great new play patterns. With todays technology and engineering they could make a lot more interesting toys like those concepts, and the Masters could be a lot more playable then they were in the old days. Minicons seemed pretty popular, and this seems like a logical extension of the concept. plus the mix n' match aspect would be fun, you could put out packs of new Head and Target Masters, focus on them as the characters more, almost making the bigger bots into vehicles/mechs for the little bots...

Not sure if there is a market for it, but would be rad if the FansProject or Tfclub guys took a swipe at it.

Those designs are really tremendous! But I dunno, the concept might be a little 'out there' for my tastes.

I mean headmasters was a bit of a strange idea to begin with. Then you have it so on top of being a headmaster, the head turns into an animal, and I'm just thinking 'why?'.

They're quite awesome just the same.

I would love to see one of those guys make new headmasters that can fit on the old figures.

OK. So who do I speak to in order to have this Headmaster Dugong created? Amazing.

Though not identical, the Alligator and the Wolf did see the light of day in Skullcruncher and Weirdwolf. Obviously they differ from those drawings, but concepts are just that. Still, the unmade ones are awesome.

Looks to me like the heads actually transformed into the animals, not that was the alt-mode of their bodies.

They're cool concepts but they'd be very hard to do as toys, especially back in the day. They'd have ended up being the same clunkly block bots that the existing headmasters were.

I know it's not quite the same, but the 25th Anniversary waves of Universe are kind of going to touch on that stuff. :D  Targetmaster Cyclonus is in, and at the Botcon Panel the Hasbro guys were pretty positive towards the notion of at least one Headmaster style robot showing up too.

oh yeah, totally, i can't wait to see Cyclonus ~ I just think it is a concept with a lot of potential to build a new line around. (i'd be a hell of a lot more interested in that then G1-rehashed-as-super-deformed-USAnime).

I'm actually really surprised Takomy hasn't done anything recent (robotmasters/Binaltech/Henkei/etc) with Chromedome since he was kind of a leader in the Headmasters anime, right?
