The LOS ANGELES COLLECTIVE 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY MEET-UP on AUGUST 7th (Sunday)

The Meet-Up we had this past Sunday was SUPER AWESOME!

As always, it was really great seeing Everyone again and meeting new people.

I wanted to start off by saying, “Thank you!” to Everyone who made it out to celebrate our 1 Year Anniversary of the Los Angeles Meet-Ups… Without you guys, our Meet-Ups wouldn’t be anything!

Now, on to the recap of the Meet-Up…

It’s hard to believe that 1 whole year has passed since our first Meet-Up back in August 2010 and it’s amazing to see where we are at today!

What started off as a single post leading up to our first Meet-Up of roughly 30 people has grown into something, for lack of a better word, INCREDIBLE!

We had roughly 60 to 70 people attend yesterday’s Meet-Up and that’s very impressive to say the least!

I think it was our biggest Meet-Up to date!

As usual, there were Transformers Toys everywhere!

Not only did our Online Vendors, Toy Arena, Tempting Toys, Aces Toy Store, Toy Hell and Toy Nirvana bring a great selection of Transformers for sale, but almost Everyone brought something to show, sell and/or trade!

IT WAS AMAZING!!!

A little bit of everything from G1 up to the latest Transformers, including 3rd Party and Custom Transformers, filled the Clubroom from wall-to-wall!
The HOT items for sale at the Meet-Up included Botcon 2011 Exclusives, Takara DOTM Jetwing Prime, TFC Toys Hercules Exgraver, Fansproject Causality CA-03 Thundershred, Takara United Frenzy & Rumble and various re-released Takara United Figures (Jazz, Tracks, Wheeljack, Scourge, Wreckgar, Kupp).

We had Custom Transformers by Josh (Sioce), Daisuke (MAIDEN JAPAN), Renz (wolverenz), Steve (turboedguy), Xavier (xaviercal) and Daniel (Aucard The 3rd) that were displayed throughout the Clubroom.

Daniel (Aucard The 3rd) brought some of his tools and was kind enough to do Custom Modifications at the Meet-Up… Next time, I’ll have to take him up on modifying my Henkei Megatron to hold his Fusion Cannon the proper way!

We even had a raffle for a Custom Transformer made by our friend Xavier (xaviercal) and the lucky winner was Dr. Paul (dominomist), who was fortunate enough to bring home an Articulated Metroplex!

Everyone had a great time!

Hopefully, you can join us for the next Meet-Up in October!

Hello everybody,

My name is John, I live in the North Hollywood/Burbank area. I have been a collector of Transformers ever since I was a kid, stopped for a while and then got back into it just a little bit before the first live action movie.

Thanks for inviting me, I plan on being to the next meet-up and I am really lookin forward to it.

 

SWEET my daughter and I will be there. We loved hanging out and meeting you all.

We do it in Pasadena bro, coz we have a place there already. Its like 30min drive from downtown LA.
