How would you have the Transformers look if you were in charge of the movies?
I would keep them the same.
G1 color schemes would be cool, but blocked robots, no.
Give Shockwave alt mode kibble of some random tank.
shockwave be sneak rat
Although I'm a fan of the movie aesthetic, if I had to change it, I'd also like to see something akin to a live-action TFP look. Or even something in the middle ground of Bayformers and TFP. Maybe there'd be less complaining.
And daitarn red once again pops in with his compelling argument and words of wisdom.
Exactly the same. The only change that I would make is keep Megatron I'm his TF07 form.
I say he looked the best in ROTF.
Well, the OP did ask what we'd use if I was in charge....
So I'd use G1. Or a stop motion using my Classics figures...
Either way, Starscream's gonna be an F-15 as God intended.
i'd keep them the same
I prefer him in TF07, because how powerful he was. Especially his dialogue was unreal. Just the whole vibe was an orgasm to the eyes.
True, he was a badass
I liked them as they were.
Thanks. I needed all those Rolos I was stuffing in my mouth all over my desk.
I guess something kind of like Transformers Prime or War for Cybertron. The designs have all the complex little bits, but the robots look like armored war machine instead of being runway model thin.
Throw in enough G1 elements to the designs so that people never have to question who a character is.
I think I'd have to use more color as well even it it's not as realist. Just way too much silver and black with the designs. They need more colors that will make the characters stand out from each other even in a chaotic fight.
I'd make them look like Alternators, Masterpiece or Classic toys.
I agree, most look pretty good the way they are. Pretty much the only Autobot design I wasn't a fan of was Wheeljack's.
If I had to, it'd be kind of like the current one, but cleaner. Much like the TFP look.
Changing designs mid-way is just stupid.
If I was running my own series, I'd make the characters similar to themselves but not slavishly so. Think Armada, Movie, or Prime Starscream instead of WfC SS. Since it's going to be it's own thing anyway (i.e. not a direct sequel), there's no point in making an exact replica.
Also, I'd see what actually works visually. As nice as some interpretations have been, if it doesn't look right in a live-action setting it's not staying in.
