Were they a TRU store exclusive over there? Here in the UK Speed Champions are sold in most places that stock Lego.
I have the one you link to and it's pretty neat. I like that it's got a drafting desk rather than another piece of track furniture.

Yeah here in the US it has only been available at TRU, the Lego Store, and Legoland (as far as I know). TRU in-store prices always had a markup, and online from TRU or LEGO they never dipped below MSRP unless there was the occasional sale (max 20% off I ever saw). So having them available from Amazon and potentially for under MSRP on a more regular basis is a welcome change.

    Yoooooooo
why had I never heard about this
Also yes, I can see the uncanny resemblance.

Also one of the suggested HOTS videos is called "Nexomania". Ironic.

Mechastorm wasn't really a "thing". Just a cool video Blizzard commissioned to commemorate the release of a bunch of new cosmetic items for their game.

    Here's hoping for you.
Generally they're £13 here, but honestly I feel that's far too expensive for what you get (I understand it's all the licensing hiking the price) so I usually wait until they go down to £8 or lower. Doesn't always happen though so I've missed out on a quite a few.

In regards to losing TRU as a Lego retailer - Kohls is going to take up some of that void come September. If Lego is included in their weekly sales (10% off coupons, Kohls cash, $10 off $50, etc) promos, this could potentially be a great thing but as we know Lego usually has themselves excluded from those kinds of deals at Target and TRU, so I guess we'll see come September

I think the MSRP prices are too high as well but then again I've gotten quite used to the idea that just about any Lego set, short of Creator Expert, can be obtained for a minimum 20% discount. Even TRU had 20% Speed Champions a couple of times before, but I held off on picking up some for various reasons. Amazon's default price lately seems to be 20% off MSRP so I'm hopeful that will extend to this line to get closer to my "OK I'll buy" sweet spot.

That's good to know but I wouldn't be surprised if LEGO manages to get themselves excluded from those coupons, just like with everyone else...

    the pop-up book was chosen

Did I miss discussion of the next ideas set announcement? I’m totally down for it if it looks more polished than the submission.

Admiral Prime said "Lego Stores", so I'm pretty sure they're something that must be exclusive to those locations. Because yeah, I've never seen anything like that, either.

@Admiral Prime Are you outside the US somewhere? I've never seen packs like that in US Lego stores.

Does Lego sell polybags online? I don't see them in the store.

Not that I know of, but I don’t have a local Lego store, so was hoping.

That's because they were literally just discovered yesterday, and they're releasing today in "all" LEGO brand stores.
I'll go check out mine today (UK) to see if they have them.

Also, as a fellow LUG member said in a discussion, the plant pieces included in these might be the first ones to be made out of that new bio-plastic material.
