I'm a little bummed it is simply for SW stuff. While I bought the falcon, I only have like 3 other SW sets and a bajillion superhero, city, and creator ones. We'll have to see how good some of the deals are.

So... Lego has upped the Apple/Nintendo "short supply" sales tactic by limiting sales to VIPs.

Edit: they should an asterisk to that though noting marked-up eBay listings.

The Force is strong with false demand.

I stopped when I finished bag 8, and it probably took around 8 hours I guess, with one slight mishap involved. Figure I'll get through about three bags a night and finish Wednesday now.

I'm honestly not sure it's false demand by constraining supply. LEGO never does that, I think they severely miscalculated how many people were willing to spend $800 on a set.

By putting a sale limit of five per customer?

    I call bullshit.

So you need to spend 75$ before getting the freebie this coming Friday, I want to maximize my LEGO purchase ability to get as much as I can for my collection, so I'm left wondering. In order to get Bricktober's LEGO Batman Movie Batsuit set, what would you get to meet the conditions for the set?

Except it was limited to one per customer? At least in the US.

Nope, it's not false demand. They underestimated the demand for such a large set. Back when the original came out, they had to put it on clearance to move them all so I think they were a little reserved this time around. I don't think anyone was expecting this to sell out as fast as it did. The fact that they didn't have any for sale on the 1st of October proves they just flat out don't have any.

This set isn't limited though, and it will be back in stock. Seems silly to spend an extra $800 on it on Ebay.

Finished mine last week btw, it is amazing. One of the greatest collectibles I own.

When I first saw it listed on their store site, I would've sworn that they had a five per customer limit.

I remember wondering who would want to spend four grand on sets.

    Then I saw this guy:
Lego Star Wars 75192 UCS Millennium Falcon - In Hand - Ready To Ship | eBay

Underestimating the most anticipated set in their market line. Highly unlikely. Trickle feeding it out to maintain sales... good business but duck move.

Edit: autocorrect, i'm not even going to change that.

The initial listing when the page went up was 5. Then they lowered it to 2. And right before it was orderable they lowered it to 1. It was like at the last second they realized they didn't have enough.
