There are 4 Moldugas, 40 Hinox/Stalnoxes, and 40 Taluses. If you talk to Kilton, he'll tell you how many you've slain, and will give you a medal for defeating all of each kind (it counts which ones you've defeated after the Blood Moon respawns them, too, so no need to do it all in one run). They don't reward you for defeating all the Lynels, for whatever reason.

So it's just a total number not defeating each individual one?

I thought it was each one. Total would be kinda silly since they re spawn with every blood moon.

Yeah, it's each one. Also worth noting is that, after you talk to Kilton about those quests a star and the word "defeated" will appear next to a relevant monster's life bar if you've already killed them once. That way you know you don't have to kill that one again to get the medal.

Ah, that helps. I need to beat the game first though. I've just been wandering around for the last two weeks finding map locations, finding Korok seeds, and killing sub-bosses.

I kind of figured the success of Mario Run would be followed by a Zelda.

I'm actually not that fond of the Mario game. It was a lot of fun for about a half hour and then I got too bored with the mechanics to play any more.

I'll check out a mobile Zelda but I can't say I'm excited for it. The puzzles could be very cool and creative, but I'm guessing they'll go the mindless tap-tap-tap-reward route to appeal to a broader range of users.

    Zelda Temple Runner

I imagine it'd be like that Spider-Man temple runner where the levels end with bosses. Something like that, IDR.

That's because of a statement made by Iwata.

I'm not sure if Iwata said never but he stated it would go against everything Nintendo is about.

The interwebs likebsaying never. Like how we will never get an MP BB VW or MP SW.

Anyway, I think that would make three big Nintendo franchises on mobile now.

What would be cool is if you actually went around the park, hill, mountain, your fishing spot and you discover something cool. Like maybe dungeons, fairy fountains, treasures, secret entrances, stupid korok seeds. Not sure if I'll play it.

Finally found my last shrine. The reward is so similar to pieces I already have that it was pretty anticlimactic. It triggered a new page in Paya's diary though, so yay. :D

    Paya's full story is
pretty sad actually. When her diary starts she shows a curiosity for the Champion and wonders about him. As the game progresses she details a growing affection for Link. It turns into adoration and she talks about his eyes and hair and how it's causing some funny feelings for her so she seeks help from townspeople who basically laugh it off and even trick her into thinking she needs 'medicine' for it. She worries that Link may be in love with Zelda but thinks Zelda is at least worthy of him. Finally she all out confesses (to the diary) that she's in love with him but will have to come to terms with the fact she can never have him. It's a very touching little ongoing story that nobody would ever know about if they didn't check her diary on a regular basis. Just one of the little touches that makes this game such a masterpiece - one of those things you don't have to do or ever know about, but is rewarding if you notice it. And on top of all that, poor Paya gets outed by Granny who tells Link that the birthmark "Is smack in the middle of her left butt cheek."

I...kinda want a Sheika-centric game with Paya as the main protagonist on a quest to rescue Link. I feel like I'm way too invested in her now. :lol

Yeah. I ignored those and focused more on trolling enemies and npcs.

Looks like I missed on small but hilarious things like the the birthmark. LOL

I guess I should finally just beat the game this weekend so I can see what my map % is and which Talus/Hinox I have left to kill. IIRC, I'm up to 549 seeds.

Where does it show you that? I beat the game a couple of weeks ago but missed it.

I think it's when you're on the map screen. That's what I've heard.

Interesting, I've never noticed the percent cleared on the map before. Wonder where I'm at... Wow, guess I still have a long way to go. I'm only at 32.42.
