I mean what are they thinking? Cogman should have been wave 3. But he's like Lockdown, Only wave 3.5.
I want my psycho robot butler! Instead we get more Drift and Strafe who wasn't even in TLK Wave 3 buys: new BB deluxe, Nitro Zeus voyager Wave 2 leader buy: Dragonstorm I haven't even seen wave 2 yet, this outlook does not look good

Only Starscream was a straight re-release where the exclusive version predated the general retail version by several months, though. Megatronus was a minor redeco with a different head, with the general retail version and the exclusive version being released almost simultaneously. And Warrior Power Surge Optimus Prime was just your standard fully-fledged exclusive redeco of a general retail figure.
This does not look good for cogman....Im going to keep my expectations low and assume hes canceled...
Why more Drifts? Is there an issue with him? Well, now I know I can pick up Drift in a later wave rather than getting him now. I can finally save money and just get Steelbane, Sqweeks, Megatron, Hound, Octone, and Blitzwing now. At least Crosshairs, Scorn, Nitro, Dragonstorm and Bumblebee are coming. I actually somewhat prefer TLK Crosshairs. Not accurate paintjob but the car looks a lot better and the guns are accurate. The hood of the car looks more sleeker, I suppose. Also guys, calm down for a moment. I'm sure the reason Cogman isn't in this wave is maybe the "Saturn's Rings" codename may belong to him and it might be a possible wave 4 that will come.
Says July. Likely mid or late. Voyager Grimlock and Deluxe Dinobots and AoE Repaint Bumblebee too! Get them out of here!
Don t say such a thing Oddly I thought it had a way heavier paint job than the other dlx figures, maybe there is a link? And perhaps Takara will reveal it at the august toy show as well...
Thinking back, where was Cogman ever confirmed to be part of wave 3? For some reason, I remember him being revealed separately from Bumblebee, Crosshairs, and Strafe, who were all revealed together. I vaguely remember thinking it weird that he was being treated like his own wave...
"hey we have to push back and/or cancel a figure from wave 3 guys... hmmm... let's pick the most wanted one and the best character in the movie".
They might repaint Hot Rod for general retail. Or he could be in a second shipping of the wave aka a "Wave 3.5" like numerous figures from AOE were.
It was just assumed by the way the product numbers are grouped. But as I say, from the product numbers for AOE, Lockdown was wave 2, but actually he didn't appear until wave 2.5.
IMHO there's no way Cogman is going to be a no show. As someone else mentioned, he's most likely a 3.5 wave (the one that will include the two combiner figures that make Dragonstorm). This probably means he'll be harder to find at first, but once the restocks come in and he makes his way around he'll probably be plentiful enough to fill demand. This is the way it ended up being with Lockdown and although he eventually disappeared off pegs he wasn't difficult to find if you traveled around a bit.
