You're right, I was thinking of the 10th anniversary line.

 

I mean...I just took the "new storyline" thing to mean they were ditching all the Cade Yeager nonsense, and focusing on the bots rebuilding their damaged world (and of course how world governments are reacting to their new planetary neighbors), while trying to stop quintessa from awakening Unicron.

That, and a new production crew and director that will, as hasbro put it, "focus on storytelling", instead of bayspolosions.

Basically the closest they can get to a reboot without starting over from square one.

That's my guess too. Much as how AOE was a semi-reboot, I imagine the next main movie will be too. They won't start over, they might just ignore some details. Think Superman Returns connecting to the Reeve films.

 

Anything that makes him easier to get makes me happy.

 

Goddamnit Hasbro. I bought Hot Rod for the price of two deluxes thinking he will never be released, then here comes this piece of news >:/

 

I guess Hasbro was too afraid that kids would abuse his power in their imaginations.

I ordered one too. However, I am not convinced that we are getting what we think we are getting (aka the deluxe figure). I will believe it when I see it.

 

It says "premier edition", its $19.99, and the deluxe is clearly the one pictured. If that's not what I get I'll return it and sue them for false advertising.

 

I better go on Amazon right now...aaaand it's gone....
