Seriously, how many goddamn one-liners can you put into one Episode?!
Being specific would help your case...
One liners are the pinnacle of writing. All of western literature has culminated to the invention of these fast, quippy, insults and or puns. Their uses are endless, they're meanings vague or humorous. Truly one must adore one-liners.
Because they just did.
Hush, child. Look at the robots.
I'll admit, the show does love it corny one liners.
Some of them have made me groan out loud, but it's still not been enough to make me actually mad.
Priceless replies are priceless.
All great action movies use one liners so why can't good animated cartoons do so?
"Fate rarely calls upon us at a moment of our choosing."
"There’s a thin line between being a hero and being a memory."
"Sometimes even the wisest of men and machines
can be in error.
"There's more to them than meets the eye."
Saved. SAVED! SAVED SO HARD!
The one-liners are getting a tad grating, but unless I missed something, no name-dropping the title this ep!
I'd honestly rather one liners than bumblebee's beeping.
Pssstt: fight without one-liners are just gRRR
Sooo yeah, unless you're a die hard DBZ fan it's better like that.
Right on! Would have been better "imo" for Bumblebee to at least use the radio
for vocalizing, save the beeping and booping for R2/D2, don't need it in transformers lol! Still like the show a lot though don't get me wrong.
Maybe the OP was missing the insider joke.
Adam Baldwin who voices Breakdown played Jayne Cobb on Firefly. Gina Torres who voices Airachind played Zoe Washburne on Firefly. To have the two actors go at it again like on Firefly was just all sorts of funny.
If the one liners still aren't funny then I shall quote The Dark Knight "Why so serious?"
I think it had a lot to do with the episode. I noticed the amount of one-liners myself. Considering the whole episode was basically one big fight scene with characters glued to other character's backs, I think they just couldn't resist. Especially with all the "I got your back...literally" style quotes. I thought it was amusing.
They're not very good one-liners.
...but that's me.
If only Adam Baldwin could slip in an Animal Mother quote or two.
When does a clever line of dialogue become a one-liner? Who decides?
Separate names with a comma.
